What is Latitude and Longitude?• Latitude:
Imaginary lines that circle the globe from east to west, measuring an area’s distance north and south of the equator
• Equator:the line of latitude midway between the North and South poles
• Longitude:Imaginary lines that circle the globe from north to south, measuring an area’s distance east or west of the prime meridian
• Prime Meridian:line of longitude at 0⁰ that runs through Greenwich, England

Your Task:• Label the following
– 7 continents (also color each continent showing that you know where they are)
– The Middle East, Southeast Asia and Central America
– Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic and Indian Oceans– Lines of Latitude, Lines of Longitude and the Prime
