Patriotism was revived in all of us at the end of this narration. Jim Gold returned again with "World of the Guitar," and the Washington and Jefferson Chorus also visited us. Traditional programs including choral and band concerts, and sports assemblies again proved to be enjoyable and entertaining. Annual features such as the National Honor Society Induction and the Oratorical Contest were truly welcome interruptions to the weekly classroom routine. Night assemblies enabled parents and the com- munity to share in student acomplishmcnts. The Moonglowers Band and Orchestra as well as the choral groups presented programs at night. The "Critters" returned to Scotch Plains to give a two-performance concert to sell-out crowds. World Champion accordionist Donald Hulmc plays the "Lone Ranger" (William Tell) Overture. Mr. Hume had appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.
