End to End (E2E) Overview

• 25 November 2013 to 14 February 2014 • Attestation not required • Internal validation of your systems and processes in readiness for IWT Validation of vendor delivered and/or internally development applications

End to End Connectivity Options

All Genium Clearing Test Environment access is via the ASX Net E2 network for End to End Test purposes. Customers will need to ensure that they have the ability to connect over the ASX Net E2 network for both the Clearing Workstation and their 3rd Party/ Internally developed Clearing applications. Please liaise with the Genium Clearing Support Team [email protected] to assist with this.

During the End to End Test. Customers will be required to test the Clearing Workstation Applications functionality as well as their access to the test Clearing Workstation Servers. This will require the Clearing Workstation Software to be installed on a PC, which talk to the Clearing Workstation Servers

End to End testing of the Clearing Workstation & Servers

The Clearing Workstation Servers (Test, & Production) are managed by the ASX

They are interfaced with the ASX Net E2 network and route to the Genium Clearing Central Test Gateways and Backend

Vendor Progress & Engagement

• Regular engagement with all vendors involved in the Genium Clearing Upgrade • Dedicated ASX resources supporting vendor software development • Software qualification currently underway, from now until mid 17 January 2014 • CPs/NCPs should be engaging directly with their vendors for delivery date

System Availability and Support

• T24 Test access will be available from Monday to Friday as per current Test Access model for position creation

• OM SECUR will be available for cross validation purposes • Hours of operation 8:00 – 19:00 AEST • ASX TradeAccept will not available however off market trades can be created

upon request as part of Facilitated Testing • Support hours will be from 08:00 – 21:00 AEST

• ASX have created a “dummy” clearing participant to assist with facilitated testing

Structured & Facilitate Testing

Structured • Trade Entry via ASX Trade24 on the External Test Environment (existing process) • We will follow the Expiry Calendar throughout this period • We will perform the standard ASX expiry functions • Clearing reports will be available (eg FSAs, Fees and Commissions etc)

Facilitated • The ‘Schedule of Services’ request form will be available on ASX online for the following:- • Off-Market – no ASX TradeAccept on the External Test Environment – ASX will upload

trades as requested • Positions Transfers • Trade Cancellations • Performing “the other side” of transactions eg Give-Ups, Rejections etc • SPAN File provided on request • All facilitated request to be made via email to [email protected]

Futures Client Clearing

Client Protection Model: The foundation for delivering enhanced client protection. Rule framework implemented early 2014. Futures Client Clearing available from end of June 2014 Segregation

• Account Structures: Ability to implement Individual Client Accounts alongside a net omnibus structure. Provides choice based on risk appetite

• Initial Margin calculation: Initial Margin (IM) will be calculated and collected for omnibus and each Individual Client Account

Portability

• Position Portability: The ASX will provide legally certain and objective criteria for porting positions of clients using an Individual Client Account (with alternative clearer arrangements)

• Collateral Protection: Individual clients will receive or be able to port the cash value equivalent of their initial margin (IM) if CP defaulted

Margin Efficiencies: Cross margining available for clients with both future and OTC swap exposures held at the same clearing participant where the client is utilising an Individual Client Account for both OTC and Futures
