Our students were invited to take part in this production and the filming commenced last Friday. Amber, Amelia and Ralph from room 13 spoke about being the first students who will attend high school as year 7's. They spoke about their learning at Northfield and how they hope the teachers in high school give them the same support and stretch that our teachers here give them. They spoke about being a little bit nervous and their worries about home work. It was clear all three students are very proud of their school and value the education they are receiving. Dejan, ZJ and Mustafa spoke about their experiences on their transition days to Roma Mitchell Secondary College. They spoke about; how they hope their teachers in high school support them in their learning, how they are looking forward to different subjects such as woodwork and they are a little nervous about being in year 8. They spoke about their transition visits to high school this year and what the teachers did to make them feel at ease. Feedback from both the film crew and Sandy Richardson, Principal at Roma Mitchell Secondary College, was that our students spoke with confidence and were able to articulate their thinking in a creative way. I would like to congratulate the students on their courage and willingness to be a part of this opportunity. We're looking forward to seeing the end production. This will be our last newsletter for 2019 and I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work all of our students do every day at school.
