To the Teachers

The objective of this workbook is to foster the pre-writing skills of the Year 1

child. It is intended to be used on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday

during the Language Experience Learning Session after the use of the Reader.

It is the teachers responsibility to assist those children whose fine muscles are not

fully developed. This must be done by writing the letters using the broken line

method and allowing the child to trace. This workbook must be completed over theschool year. Careful attention must be paid to the formation of letters on the four

(4) lines.

Teachers will be held accountable for the attainment level of each child in his/her

class.
