Aims and Objectives

Aim: to develop suitable pedagogical solutions for learning about the issues connected with the three themes.

Objectives: - to prioritize the essential issues (underlying the three themes) that must be incorporated in the elearning

material, and identify overlapping common characteristics and transversal skills that will be incorporated in the didactic framework (OR IS THIS HANDED DOWN FROM WORKPACKAGE 3?)

- to develop a didactic framework that matches learning objectives and suitable learning formats in which the eLearning material can be organized. Input for this will be the inventory of prioritized central issues, common characteristics between the three themes and so called transversal skills. The didactic framework will be a grid that will give the learning materials a recognizable face with fixed recurring learning tasks and methods of knowledge transfer and exchange (e.g. videoclips, expert interviews, on-line lectures, cases, etc.).

- to consult eMenthe partners on this didactic framework and pedagogical solutions that flow from it

and integrate their feedback in an amended plan that will be subjected to reach consensus in a

conference call with each partner.

These priorities state that:

• the eLearning programs for the Master’s program students and professional practice should include the transmission of transversal skills,

• covering curricula and modules for continuing education designed to update knowledge and skills obtained in the past

• the potential of ICT should be exploited to enable more effective and personalised learning experiences and to streamline course delivery and HEI administration.

the context of Life Long Learning

The eLearning material must not only provide access to expert and professional knowledge, skills and attitudes, but also provide skills needed to cope with changing and new situations.

Questions

Master students and their supervisors in clinical practice from several mental health institutes across the country will be involved in the testing of the developed material. This procedure will be piloted in the Netherlands and after thorough evaluation a refined format will be developed to have the material tested in an uniform way in the other partner countries. Is this not done by TAMK in workpackage 6 ?

Workpackage 3 (Halmstadt) goal: “to create an overall picture about the three themes with information from interviews and from previous literature. “Will this also include identifying the characteristics that these themes have in common and the transversal skills professional need to cope with them? Or is this up to Utrecht to identify in workpackage 4?

Will the eventual eLearning material facilitate the use of a tutor?
