real-world experience.

All work experience programs consist of study at International

The IH Vancouver staff will assist

you in meeting local people and

pursuing your hobbies/interests

throughout your stay in Vancouver.

Although you are expected to

arrange your own interview, you will

be able to use both the counselling

services and job board of Internex.

In addition to your student ID Card,

you will be given printed business

cards with your local contact

information included.

Staff from Internex will meet you

and have a preliminary consultation

with you, contact all potential

employers on your behalf and

arrange interviews for you with

potential employers. All participants

in this program benefit from a job

placement guarantee.

As Vancouver’s premier job

placement agency for international

students, Internex is frequently

contacted by companies looking

for student workers. You will have

access to contact information

and job details of all prospective

employers partnering with Internex.

An IH or Internex representative will

contact your prospective employer

to ensure that the terms and

conditions of employment are fair

and that the type of employment

meets the objectives of the program.

You arrange your own job interviews

and are entirely responsible for

finding your own work. Once hired,

a representative of IH Vancouver

must visit your employer to ensure

that your job meets the objectives of

the program.
