Tags & Featured Image4
1. Tags- this is where you will choose 2-3 tags for your post. A tag is one word or a phrase that describes your post. When you start typing, you will see tags that have been used previously that will pop up.
2. Featured Image- This is where you will set the featured image of your post. This is the image that will be pulled for the homepage of BVTMB as well as the image that will be pulled when sharing via social media, so select one that best describes your post. If you have created a “fancier” image in Picmonkey or Canva, this is one place you would use it.

ImagesBasics: Alt Text & Descriptions::The alt text (or alt tags) is added to an image so there will be a descriptive text when the image for whatever reason can’t be displayed to the visitor (reasons may be they have turned off images in their web browser or are using a screen reader due to a visual impairment) Make sure the alt text includes the SEO keyword for that page and relates to / describes the image. While most visitors don’t see the alt text, search engines do and they index the images based on them.
Do not use one word in your alt tag: Example: dog. Do not stuff keywords in your a lot tag: Example: puppy, dog, puppiesDO use a descriptive sentence in your alt tag: A Dalmatian puppy sitting on the sidewalk.
SEO in photos ::Yoast SEO content analysis specifically checks to see whether you have at least one image with an alt tag thatcontains your focus keyword. In general: if a keyword would be useful for finding something that is on the image, include it in the alt tag if you can. Tagging your photos appropriately helps get the coveted green light!
