FOREWORD

Wool Research Association (WRA) is a co-operative research Association established in 1963 under Societies Registration Act 1860. It is linked to Ministry of Textiles, Government of India as a grantee organization.

Besides R&D, consultancy, training and education in the field of woolens and allied areas in particular, and textiles in general, WRA offers excellent facilities of testing and evaluation of textiles - both physical and chemical testing’s. Besides, it also undertakes instrumental microanalysis in chemical (organic and inorganic) and ecological testing. WRA Textile Test House is NABL accredited for ISO-17025 standards. The laboratory is also certified and calibrated by Interwoollabs, Bradford for various tests on wool fibres. WRA is an Associate Member of IWTO. The laboratories are SIRO recognized by Department of Science and Technology. Testing assignments are undertaken against specifications of BIS, ISO, IWTO, ASTM, AATCC, etc.

WRA is rendering continual testing and consultancy services at various levels in textile and allied industries. Government agencies, international agencies etc. WRA has prepared this schedule of charges in a most reasonable and realistic manner for implementation.

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Sample for testing will be accepted 24hrs×7 days.

2. Test charges are payable in advance before collecting Test Report. Cheques/DDs are to be drawn in favor of “WOOL RESEARCH

ASSOCIATION”. Testing charges can be paid by NEFT/RTGS. 3. Sufficient quantity of samples, as shown in the schedule of charges for tests, should be submitted along with an application for requisite

tests. 4. The Test Report relates to the sample submitted. In their own interest, the clients should make it certain that the samples represent the bulk.

Samples for moisture estimation will be accepted only in airtight packing. 5. Samples must be clearly ‘MARKED’ and ‘LABELLED’ at the time of submitting them.

6. If samples are to be tested to some definite specifications, instructions in this regard in writing must be submitted along with the samples.

7. Sample for test will not be accepted if it is felt that their condition is such as to render the results unreliable one or, if the size is insufficient

for the test. 8. Tests not mentioned in the schedule will be carried out, if the relevant equipment is available; charges for such case will be decided by the

association. 9. Additional Courier charges of ` Rs. 25.00 for Mumbai region, Rs. 45 for Maharashtra Region and Rs. 60 for Out state region. For other

mode of delivery of hard copy of test report, charges will be based on actual. 10. In the normal course, only two copies of the Test Report will be supplied. Additional copies will be supplied at ` 100/- per copy.

11. In all matters regarding acceptance, rejection, priority in testing, etc. the decision of the association will be final.

12. The above rules & regulations and the schedule of charges are subject to change without previous notice.

13. All tests will be undertaken subject to the condition that no legal responsibility is attached to the association for test reports issued and

findings given therein.

14. Normally, test reports will be issued within 3-4 working days of receipt of samples; however, if the number of samples and the number of

tests to be carried out are large, WRA Test House has the authority to decide the period of testing.

15. On Party’s request the testing of samples will be undertaken on priority or urgent basis, on payment of one and half times the NORMAL charges. In case of urgent samples if the reports are delayed the charges will be ‘NORMAL’.

16. The WRA Test House will take all possible care as regards samples received for testing; however, it will not be responsible for any loss or damage, which may occur in transit. The sample will be preserved for ONE MONTH after completing the test.

17. All samples or goods must be delivered to and removed from the association by the party on whose behalf the tests will be carried out, but they may be forwarded by post /courier at the party’s expense and risk. The association assumes no responsibility for delay or damage or loss of samples or reports sent by post.

18. The contents of test reports and correspondence with clients will be kept strictly confidential.

19. The material remaining after test will not be returned unless a specific request is made by the party at the time of submitting the sample for test.

20. Special consultancy charges will also include type of work, work involved, man-hours spent and procurement of raw material, if any.

21. Wool Research Association reserves the right to accept or reject the sample for testing without assigning any reason.

22. Test Report issued by WRA will be specifically for use of the client and not for any legal claim, damage, dispute etc.
