Redwood: The Material Difference.Among all wood species, redwood is ideal for outdoor playsets. Redwood is naturally immune to insects. It resists decay and deterioration. And, it has exceptional strength to make structures safe for heavy-duty use and kids of all sizes (even Dad).

Redwood is CPSC Recommended. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends natural wood for outdoor playsets, like redwood and the other wood species we use.

Bigger Beams Come Standard.We begin with hand-selected, premium timbers that are sawn to be free of “heart center.” This promotes stability and reduces warping, twisting or cracking.

We mill our own timbers so they are true construction-grade dimen-sions –not “whittled down”–to ensure our playsets are strong and sturdy from the start. We plane each board twice and we round and sand the edges to make doubly sure surfaces are smooth and safe to the touch. We recess and cover bolt ends with acorn caps for added safety and smart good looks.

We coat our lumber using a total-immersion bath, flooding the wood with Superdeck®–a specially formulated, water-based protectant. This eco-friendly process allows the redwood to naturally absorb the stain sealer, enhancing the unique luster for which our playsets are known.

The lumber in our playsets comes from mills that meet or exceed many of the standards set forth by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and the New Zealand Environmental Code of Practice for Plantation Forestry. Certified farms employ techniques for prompt reforestation. They also protect water quality, enhance the wildlife habitat and promote more efficient utilization of timber.

Woodplay is “Red and Green”. From the redwood forest to your backyard, Woodplay makes environmentally sound choices a priority.

• Our water-based wood stains are low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and safe for children, pets and the air we breathe.

Our traditional post-and-beam construction accommodates popular accessories beneath the base, including a built-in sandbox or a full-size convertible picnic table which doubles as a sandbox cover.

The Woodplay® “No Kidding” GuaranteeWoodplay is proud to offer you the best warranty in the industry with our Limited Lifetime “No Kidding” Guarantee.

To activate your warranty, go to: www.woodplay.com/warranty and follow the directions.

5-Year Warranty on all Woodplay components and accessories that are not covered under the Limited Lifetime Warranty. Woodplay will repair or replace, at our option, any Woodplay above-ground playset component which fails within five years after the date of delivery as a result of a defect in materials or workmanship. All other qualifications also apply listed under the Limited Lifetime Warranty below.

Limited Lifetime Warranty on all Woodplay wooden playset components, swing hangers, swing chains, metal braces, metal rungs, hardware and our exclusive Super Slide and Alpine Slide. Woodplay warrants to the original retail customer that we will replace any Woodplay wooden playset component suffering structural failure due to warping, rotting or insect damage. This warranty does not cover knots in the wood, surface cracking or seasonal checking of components. Knots, surface cracking and seasonal checks are a natural characteristic of all wood, including redwood, and will not affect the integrity of your playset. Woodplay warrants to the original retail customer that we will replace any swing hangers, swing chains, metal braces, metal rungs or hardware that fail due to rust or breakage (excludes surface rust). This limited lifetime warranty also applies to our exclusive Super Slide and Alpine Slide. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for use. Woodplay does not assume, or authorize any person or representative to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale of our products. These warranties exclude any incidental or consequential damages which may arise from the purchase or use of our equipment. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damage, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty program applies only to the original owner and is limited to residential and noncommercial use of the products. Customer must register the playset purchase at www.woodplay.com to be eligible for warranty. A copy of the original invoice must accompany all warranty claims. Freight and labor charges are not included. This warranty program does not cover normal wear and tear, or damages resulting from misuse, abuse, vandalism, alteration, acts of God, or assembly and maintenance contrary to our instructions. Woodplay reserves the right to examine photographs and/or the component itself–shipped freight prepaid by the customer–prior to potential replacement.
