alturas was born in lima in 1978. since then, they

have worked seriously and professionally letting

the world Know peru through its traditional mu-

sic from the andes, the coast and the amazon, as well

as the most representative melodies which belong to

latin america, giving special emphasis to afro-peruvian

rhythms and very proudly showing on stage more than

30 different acoustic musical instruments.

Besides having performed all along peru, they have

given numerous concerts and have participated in vari-

ous festivals held in very prestigious venues in Germany,

austria, spain, France, england, italy, portugal, poland,

switzerland, the former ussr, israel, Morocco, colombia,

and have taken part in most of these countries officially

representing peru.

alturas, highly experienced in the authentic style of the

Misa criolla and making use of a fresh interpretation,

have managed to reach a very special version, which

they have sung in innumerable occasions at very impor-

tant european venues together with choirs of well-rec-

ognized international prestige. in July 2004, alturas had

the enormous privilege to present it together with the

tenor José carreras and the coral salvé de laredo at the

emilia romagna international Festival (italy).

Misa criolla

Written in 1963 by ariel ramirez, Misa criolla has be-

come one of the most wellknown and oft-performed

south american choral works throughout the world. a

product of the composer’s long study of argentine folk

music, the piece synthesizes popular and liturgical styles,

drawing on the rhythms and melodies of argentina and

other south american cultures.

entirely based on traditional rhythms (chacarera, car-

navalito, estilo pampeano), it is also one of the first mass-

es to be celebrated in a modern language - being con-

temporary to the second Vatican counc. ariel ramirez,

born in 1921, draws on the metres and rhythms of latin-

american music, and employs dance forms from argen-

tina, Bolivia and peru; it is music that is heartwarmingly

approachable, of a light, devotional kind. in trying to

characterize it i was reminded of parts of orff’s carmina

burana and Britten’s church parables, though here the

accompaniment to soloists and chorus is provided by

varying instrumental combinations including, besides

percussion, a guitar, five-string charango and various

other latin-american folk instruments.

alturas has participated in the workshop and concert of the Misa criolla at the XVi europa cantat Mainz 2006 (Germany) together with a huge

choir formed by singers of different nationalities. in July 2010 they have presented again the Misa criolla with José carreras at the amazing

terraza of duomo di Milan.



this is a project that aims to become an artistic

platform from which to generate a new trend of

flamenco expression language; without losing

the nature and tradition of each “palo”, based on the lat-

est trends in electronic music..

a creative process developed over low heat; specialized

artists from different musical styles, working in freedom,

without prejudices, have been built and have joined

their talents to form a fresh, new, homogeneous sound..

electrolé born of necessity and concern the multifaceted creative producer, choreographer

and dancer Mariano cruceta.


in 2010 paco ortega produced with him his first album, 8

reflexiones, which was written by composer and guitar-

ist caroline planté in the emblematic Madrid Musigrama

study; and, on the other hand, he received the third prize at

the First international short Film Festival Flamenco with its

short film invernadero (Greenhouse).

He has cooperated with different albums as a producer and

arranger and now he is introducing his first musical com-

position, la noche escondida, with the band electrolé.

Fernando egozcue has combined his classical edu-

cation with the jazz influences and the contempo-

rary music, becoming the author of an own and

exclusive music gender which has consolidated him as

a reputed composer and performer. currently he is fo-

cused on his own projects and on collaborations with

other relevant musicians.

egozcue’s work includes compositions for solo guitar as

well as for quartet, quintet and septet groups mainly. He

has also composed for big orchestras.

He mainly performs live concerts of his own composi-

been presented in the best theatres and festivals all

in august 2008, in a small nightclub, porteÑa tanGo

trÍo was born in a natural and almost improvised way,

due to the meeting between two argentine musicians

strolling through europe. the guitarist alejandro pic-

ciano and the pianist Federico peuvrel gradually consoli-

dated a solid tango trio that, from that small nocturnal

bar, now disappeared, called “la cueva del Bolero” was

projected in the last 10 years to the great theaters and

auditoriums of 20 countries in four continents convert-

ing that small casual meeting, into a great argentine

dance and music show away from clichés, with a current

and close sound that surprises an audience with which it

interacts, being today the company of tango argentino

with training stable with the largest audience in europe,

reaching more than 600 performances with their differ-

ent shows and recording all their albums and dVds un-

der the label Melopea discos with the production of an

icon of argentine music, the Grand litto nebbia..

after a long journey through the usual circuit of tango

and jazz clubs, at the beginning of 2011, they created

the show “un placer!” With which they toured theaters

throughout spain and portugal, filling in February 2012

the legendary calderón theater in Madrid in which they

record a live recorded album that becomes the kickoff of

their great international tours.

towards the end of 2013, Matías picciano, a young

and virtuous of only 18 years old, joined the trio

with whom they recorded the following year

in argentina the cd “Buenos aires ... When i Far away i

saw”, which they presented at the teatro Gran Vía, with

the milestone of performing 9 functions and reposition-

ing the argentine tango after decades again in the great

theaters of the Gran vía Madrileña and incorporating

new countries to its extensive list as, israel, ireland, swit-

zerland, slovenia and a great summer tour by audiences

in the czech republic, a prolific stage that ends with a

dVd entitled “cádiz” recorded in the beautiful courtyard

of santa catalina castle in that city.

in 2015 litto nebbia and alejandro picciano have the

idea of paying homage to his admired Héctor “chupita”

stamponi, a great composer and pianist of the golden

decade of tango, on the occasion of the centenary of his

birth to be fulfilled in 2016.

Which becomes the biggest success of the group’s ca-

reer. the show is presented in argentina in the fabulous

ccK auditorium of the city of Buenos aires with sold-

out tickets and then it is represented in large theaters

of europe together with the dance and choreography

of two young and multi-award-winning dancers, reach-

ing the almost 150 representations in the last two years.

tango crosses borders leaving the stamp of the past that

re-emerges transformed in beauty, passion and sensual-

ity. in this programme we will see the personal style of

each couple, revealing the choreographic complexity

of this “feeling that you can dance”. the intense work of

the dancers keep the audience directly connected with

the “porteño” (people from Buenos aires) feeling that it

arises from its scenes.

a must see show where we will live histories of jealousy,

nostalgia, love and hate that reflects the sensuality and

passion of Buenos aires.

the choreographies exclusively created for this specta-

cle, are extremely sensual. it express a full feeling of sen-

suality but not of sexuality, where the most important is

not only the great technique of the dancers but his ex-

pressiveness. everything is joined, looks, arms, hands, ev-

ery movement of the body accompanying the cadence

of the tango and transmit through what they are living: a

three minutes romance.

tinean couple based in europe and are claimed in the

most prestigious tango festivals around the world.
