GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College’s women’s cross coun- try team claimed the champi- onship of the Tom Barry Invi- tational for the second-straight year with a dominating show- ing in the 37th annual event held at Colburn Park. The Green Knights placed all five of their runners in the top 12 to register a team score of 33 points. The College of St. Scholastica finished second with 71 points, while Carroll University was third with 84 points. Mackenzie Weber had a smashing debut in a St. Norbert uniform, handily winning the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19 minutes 9 seconds. Weber finished well ahead of Carroll’s Megan O’Grady, who was second in 19:44. Kelsey Timm was St. Norbert’s second runner with a fourth-place finish in 20:10. Hannah Andrekus fol- lowed with a time of 20:15 to finish sixth. Amanda Whipple placed 10th overall in 20:22, while Elvia Marti- nez closed out the Green Knights’ scoring with a 12th- place finish in 20:24. Erin McShea placed 15th with a time of 10:31, and Meghan Valentine was 17th in 20:57. Emily Erickson gave St. Norbert eight finishers in the top 18 with a time of 21:00. Jadin finished fourth overall with a time of 21:34. Fellow classmate, Hayden Hoffman placed sixth in 21:46, while Mike Linzmeier was seventh in 21:48. GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College’s women’s cross coun-try team claimed the champi-onship of the Tom Barry Invi-tational for the second-straight year with a dominating show-ing in the 37th annual event held at Colburn Park.

The SNC Alumni team was well represented at the 2011 Tom Barry Invitational this past weekend. Well over 40 alums were in attendance to enjoy the race day festivities, some delicious food at the Feldhausen’s af-ter the race and ultimately to celebrate the life of former SNC runner and coach ~ Tom Barry.

Trisha Feldhausen won her 8th consecutive TBI Alumni title and is now tied with Nancy Gritt for the most event as an alum. On the men’s side, Mackenzie Laska finished as the top SNC alum in his first race for teh alumni team!

Women’s finish: 7th(146 pts.) Men’s finish: 4th(73 pts.)
