Summary

In the article “Can Women and Men Be Friends?” the writer Letty Cottin Pogrebin

gives her explanation about these types of relationships. Independently that women and

men are attracted by each other; both grow up with a different way of think. They are

separated in different social groups, which lead to do not know well the opposite sex; just it

is possible when the bomb of hormones say “I need a partner” and then women and men

start to know better each other. This does not occur just in the childhood, it keeps along the

live until the adultness, when women and men have now different interests in sports,

conversation topics and specifics things related their own sex. In conclusion, our culture

tries keep women and men very different through habits, likes and specially the way of

think.
