Ottawa Women Sailing

Short & Long-term Goals set in 2003:• Increase number of participants from 50 to 60

• Increase number keelboats/crews from 8 to 10

• Increase women and girls who learn sailing

• Add to the women participating in racing

• Increase profile of women’s sailing community in Ottawa

• Development local teams to participate in the

Canadian Women’s Keelboat Championship

Ottawa Women SailingTraining Program:

• Target Audience: New and Experienced racers

• On-shore Seminars:• 2002 Racing Basics - Shona Moss Lovshin

• 2003 Keynote Speaker ~ Carolyn Moss

• Panel Discussion ~ 5 women racers

• Everything from rules, sailing campaigns, sail tuning and much more have been covered!

• On-water Training:• Coaches working with sailors on-water

• Monday Night Racing, plus Interclub Fleet
