Weekly Message Dear Parents, This is the last newsletter for Term 1 with students due to return to school on Tuesday 1st May.. Transport Survey - New Classrooms Building Project. Earlier this week you would have received an email containing a link to a transport survey being conducted by the team co-ordinating our new building project. As part of the Development Application, Wollongong City Council has requested that the developers submit a Green Travel Plan to address traffic movements around our school. The survey will assist them in drawing up an accurate plan. Thank you to those of you who have already completed the survey, but if you have not please click on this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JS8BF6D to supply your child’s travel arrangements. Mothers’ Day Stall Yesterday you should have received a note asking for donations for our Mothers’ Day Stall on May 11th. This has become a highlight of term 2 for our students as they thoroughly enjoy being able to select and purchase that special gift for Mum. If you can assist by donating any appropriate items, please send them in early next term. Cross Country Carnival The District Cross Country Carnival will be held at Kembla Grange on Friday 4th May in the first week of term, and all notes had to be returned today. We wish all our runners well at the carnival. School Band Unfortunately illness has meant that Mr Flis, our Band Teacher from Wollongong City Band is unable to continue working with our young musicians. We are endeavouring to find a replacement, but until we do so Band lessons will stop until further notice. We apologise for this situation, but it is out of our control. We all wish Mr Flis well.

Non-Parent Pick-up If you are making arrangements for another adult to be picking up your child after school, please inform the school office in advance so that the teachers on gate duty can ensure your child’s safe departure.

Parent Helpers Needed Mr McQueen in the library has a large number of library books that need covering and is looking for parent volunteers to help out. Parents can cover books at school in the library office or can take books home to cover them. Mr McQueen will provide the books, the contact and the scissors if parents can provide their time.
