Expanding Myanmar’s LPG Markets

With a goal of providing LPG to 1,500,000 households by 2020, Myanmar’s LPG market is set to grow at a booming rate. From eorts to privatize the industry and encourage more competition by the issuing of licenses, to the leasing out of the only commissioned seaborne import terminal (at Thanlyin), the government of Myanmar is driving LPG demand, as a key alternative fuel, to reduce reliance on electricity and rewood for Myanmar’s energy needs.

The long-awaited potential of the Myanmar LPG market has taken a major step closer to reality – local players and foreign suppliers of fuel, equipment and expertise should now be taking the market opportunity in Myanmar very seriously.

Join us for WLPGA’s MYANMAR SUMMIT 2018, where we will be hosting the major stakeholders in Myanmar to provide a catalyst for further market expansion.

According to Argus Media LPG is expected to approach 200,000t within the next decade.
