Contractor Briefing• Signing will be conducted at the end of this briefing

• Once you have provided signed contracts, you may send an invoice for 60% of 2010 funding (funding allocation is inclusive of GST). Invoice must include:- ABN- Instalment details (eg. 1st instalment)- Amount of GST paid/to be paid- Period of service (eg 2010)- Description of the service (including LLEN area/s)- Name/address for payment- Bank details

3. Program Outline and Expectations

• Program objectives:– increase the number of young people undertaking

workplace learning placements in places of employment, especially within those industries that provide strong vocational outcomes for young people;

– increase the alignment between VCAL and VET provision and local industry needs; and

– increase the number of Koorie young people undertaking workplace learning placements

– generate and identify new workplace learning placement opportunities

• Role of the Program Coordinator:

“the public face of the Program”– A liaison role– A work placement generation role– An information dissemination role through LLEN networks– A visible contact for employers– A contribution to the breadth of education and training activity within

a LLEN geographical area– Targeted opportunities for Koorie young people

4. Draft Service PlanObjectives:

• New Workplace Learning Opportunities SWL, SBAT, work experience improving number of Koorie students undertaking workplace

learning

• Providers to be serviced educational/training providers, industries, employers

Service Delivery:• Work collaboratively with your local LLEN• Identify other programs & avoid duplication• Delivery steps to achieve Program outcome

5. Establishing Business Targets

6. Contract Management Arrangements

• Relationship with DEECD YTD

- Senior Policy Officers will be allocated• Formal induction will be conducted• Compliance reporting• Programs visits, as required

7. Induction

• Careers and Transition Support team will conduct induction sessions, expected to be in August.

This will be for the Program Coordinator and any Program support staff.

• Notify us if there are recruitment issues

8. Formative Evaluation

• An evaluator is currently being appointed. You will be advised following selection and contract finalisation

• Contractors are expected to contribute to these evaluations and work collaboratively with the evaluation team
