DESCRIPTION
WIZO Australia is responsible for the maintenance of its projects and for providing additional support for urgent requests as they arise. In the past five years we have renovated the dormitories at WIZO Ahuzat Yeladim, built a newcommunity centre in Modi’in, Israel’s fastest growing city and are finalising building works for playground upgrades in Day Care Centres across the country. Your measure of Hope, Education, Love and Protection will enable us to continue to make a difference to those in our care.

Unsupervised children learn a lot of things on the street after school. However, there are those who are lucky enough to attend WIZO Australia’s Korsunski Youth Club in Kfar Saba. The club provides after school tutoring as well as supervised activities like soccer, gym, dance and art classes.
Supporting this WIZO project means that you remove a child from the street, and provide her with a safe, nurturing environment where she looks to the future with HOPE.

Educationducation
WIZO Australia’s Ahuzat Yeladim is a therapeutic residential school in Haifa. It has a reputation for providing an excellent education and individual treatment for the most emotionally abused children in Israel. Violence and drug abuse make children vulnerable and by supporting a WIZO child in this project you enable personal growth in a warm educational environment. This offers the child the possibility of future success.

In most Israeli households, both parents work full time. This means they have limited time to spend with their children. Over 90 years ago, WIZO was established to look after children, and today WIZO operates 173 Day Care Centres around the country, catering for children of hard working parents. If you support one of these projects, you allow children not only to learn but to be nurtured and loved.

Protectionrotection
Thousands of elderly people need protection from loneliness. Clubs such as WIZO Australia’s Aya Dinstein Centre in Jerusalem provide a meeting place for Israel’s frail and often neglected senior citizens including many Holocaust survivors. By supporting this project you will protect these aging citizens by securing companionship and an enriching environment for them.
