1 Wizard Weaves Dizzying Magic, Saving 5-Year-Old Being Swept to Death by Freak Wave t was Friday the 18 th of August, a sunny seaside day in Blackpool, a young family having innocent fun on the beach. Mary Hill, only 24, and her husband Peter Hill, 27, were taking their 5-year-old daughter Penny for a splash and paddle in the sea, when all of a sudden, their hearts shattered for a second seeing this thing of horror almost abduct their sweet daughter. As well as the grand community of Blackpool who love and live at the beaches, every year thousands of families come along to Blackpool for a day or weekend at the seaside. Munching on fish ‘n’ chips, masterpiece ice-creams, or hot donuts as they walk by the crashing waves, or escape the sometimes-unpleasant British weather through the entertainment of amusements, and fair rides on the pier. Witnesses from this estranged and simply unbelievable scene say the weather was delightful one minute with a glistening sun and temperatures as high of 24°C, and it all drastically changed in such an instance. The sun had extinguished and the skies turned to an almost-black dullness, “I thought the world was ending!”- said Sally Jones, the 83-year-old frequent Blackpool visitor and witness at the scene. Then in the midst of this swelling storm, the sea started towering higher until this grand tsunami-like wave, now named the ‘Freak Wave’, was shadowing over the beach. As all the sunbathers fled for their lives, running frantically from the water, the sweet child Penny was too oblivious in her own young world of fun and laughter to see the beast approaching behind. Sources describe it with monstrous hands coming out from its dark wave form body, “It had hands, a-a- about to grab her!”. In addition to this there were apparent red beady eyes like lasers, expressing every ounce of its devilish being. I

The ‘Freak Wave’ got closer and closer to Penny, reaching out to grab her and sweep her to her death. The Hill’s were sprinting toward the sea, tackling their way through the flourish of people pushing past in the opposite way. “And then, it was like we were part of some other dimension, everything went purple! Purple clouds!”- Sally Jones. Anyone who hadn’t just witnessed this maleficent whirlwind and partnered ‘Freak Wave’ would believe that the bearded old man of abrupt appearance was nothing more than an old man. If things couldn’t of gotten more out of the Blackpool ordinary, this elderly man replicating a Gandalf quality, draped in a long white cloak, and holding a wooden staff in his right hand, began shouting at the sky like a madman! The purple clouds seemed to gather around this… man? God? Wizard? A green beam of light lit the sky up and the 300ft wave came crashing down on itself. Little Penny, still minding her own business came running safely out the water in her stripy and polka dotted swimsuit, and into her worrying parents arms. All was well and good, the sky was once again sunny within a minute, but before the Hill’s could thank the hero of the day, he was being tackled by police and in constraints. Disregarding the craziness of the entire event, all the public were still pointing fingers at the old man in fear of him and his unnatural capabilities. The Hill’s were demanding for him to be released but the people are so afraid of this freakish man they’ve completely forgotten the ‘Freak Wave’ which still remains a mystery to which no one now cares of. The man is now locked in quarantine as Blackpool’s local scientists perform tests and experiments to determine the “species”. After a follow up interview with the Hill’s one week post the event they mentioned their thankfulness to the man whilst also expressing their frustration toward the community’s infatuation in him being “evil” and a “threat”. Instead the couple are now campaigning and protesting for not only his release, but an accreditation of his heroic actions. The couple believe that instead of weaponising or demonising the man, they should be learning respectively about him and not forcefully imprisoning and torturing him.
