Talk to horses, dogs and cats? No problemfor AsiaVoight. Asia
grew up commu. . nicating telepathically with animals.
Thisconnection surrounded every part of herday. Asia thougl:!t all
people had conversa-" tions with their pets. At the age of five,
shewaS shocked to find 'out that most don't.,This discovery came
when Asia playedoutside one day with a neigllborhood girlas a
golden-colored dog came boundiDgtoward them. The dog announced his
relief at running away from his very loudfamily and as Asia heard
his message, sheshared it out loud. The n ~ i g h b o r girl
askedin shook, "How do you know that family isloud? And that ibis
dog belongs to them?You're only ,five and I know ypu d o n ' ~
goout of your yard." Asia tela her, 'The dogjust told me this now."
The neighbor girl
responded, "It's true. I live over by thatfamily. blocks away,
and they are noisy."She went on, ''No one talks to animals,though.
And most people might thinkjt 'sstrange. You ~ t t e r Keep it to
Y01uself." Atthat moment, Asia became broken-hearted and did keep
her secret to h e ~ l f for45 years.The m o m e n ~ that changed
everything. In December of 1987, Asia struggledbetween life and
death for three monthsin intensive care after.a semi-trailer hit
hervan and the vyhicle caught on fire. Throughdivine guidanc.e, she
made her way out ofthe raging flames, but the struggle wasnot over.
In the hospital, the doctors told~ i a ' s family she only had a
three percentchance of living-and i f she did survive,
time, she adopted a dog from a s h e ~ t e r , print
