This service is available in the following parks: Harrington Park – 1815 S Cockrell Hill Rd Alexander Park – 715 S Alexander Ave Lions Park – 1000 S Peach St Armstrong Park – 100 James Collins Blvd Red Bird Park – 401 W Redbird Ln Pyburn Park – 915 Astaire Ave Rotary Park – 301 S Venice Dr Waterview Park – 1700 Whitecliff Dr Chris Paris Park – 1300 Caravan Trail Lakeside Park – 515 Hill City Dr Park’s patron devices will display the three network IDs while in City parks: • Free_SpectrumWiFi SpectrumWiFi Plus Spectrum Mobile Cizens and guests to the City of Duncanville parks who are not Spectrum customers can connect to this service using the Free SpectrumWiFi network name to enjoy 1 hour of free access per day with the opportunity to purchase an addional hour, day, week, or month of access starng at $2.95 for the hour. Current Spectrum Internet and Spectrum Mobile customers can connect using their Spectrum username/password to enjoy unlimited access to the Internet while in an of these parks. The partnership with Spectrum came about while the City’s Informaon Technology Department was invesgang opons to add wireless Internet service in our parks. Spectrum offered this wireless service soluon to the City and its cizens free of charge. The soluon involved designing a deployment that was aesthecally pleasing, avoided any potenal hazards, and would blend in well with exisng park infrastructure. Thus emerges the “Yard Warrior”, a man or woman who has dedicated much of their me making their yard the epitome of all lawns. The type of lawn that the angels sing of on high, and that special light shines down from the heavens on your lawn. Well, being that warrior comes at a risk. That risk is possibly having your lawn equipment or other items stolen from your garage. These people that target open garages lurk up and down streets and alleyways looking for the dedicated “Yard Warrior”. They take advantage of this me to steal from you. While you are mowing the front yard, they are in the back of your home loading up their vehicle with your belongings. Some of these might be the tools that you need to have that heavenly lawn. Remember this, if you don’t remember anything else: Criminals are creatures of opportunity! If you give them a chance they’ll take the opportunity. Don’t give these criminals a chance. Here are a few things to do to reduce these opportunies. 1. Keep garage doors shut when you are not around - even if you go in the house for a few minutes. 2. Keep lawn equipment out of sight when you are not around - even if you go in the house for a few minutes. 3. Keep an inventory of household and garage items with make, model and serial numbers to provide the police and insurance companies in the event of a burglary or theſt. 4. Start a Neighborhood Crime Watch program. With this bit of knowledge you are well on your way to being that Warrior of all Warriors. La ciudad de Duncanville y Spectrum se complacen en anunciar la disponibilidad de acceso gratuito al internet inalámbrico en 10 de nuestros hermosos parques.

ROBOS DE GARAJESEl verano está sobre nosotros y con eso viene el brote de todas esas hermosas hierbas separadas por los pocos parches dispersos de pasto. Así surge el “Guerrero de Yarda”, un hombre o una mujer que ha dedicado gran parte de su tiempo haciendo su patio el epítome de todos los céspedes. El tipo de césped que cantan los ángeles en lo alto, y esa luz especial brilla desde los cielos en su césped. Bueno, ser ese guerrero entra en riesgo.

Ese riesgo es posiblemente tener su equipo de césped u otros artículos robados de su garaje. Estas personas que apuntan a garajes abiertos acechan calle y callejones en busca del "Guerrero de Yarda" dedicado. Aprovechan este tiempo para robarte. Mientras cortas el patio delantero, están en la parte trasera de su casa cargando su vehículo con tus pertenencias. Algunas de estas podrían ser las herramientas que necesita para tener ese césped celestial.

Recuerda esto, si no recuerdas nada más:

¡Los criminales son criaturas de oportunidad!

Si les das una oportunidad, aprovecharán la oportunidad. No les des una oportunidad a estos criminales. Aquí hay algunas cosas que hacer para reducir estas oportunidades.

EL UNDÉCIMO (11TH) JALE DE CAMIÓN DE BOMBEROSEl evento más grande de Jale de Camiones de Bomberos en Texas beneficiando a las Olimpiadas Especiales de Texas. Equipos de 12 personas jalaran un camión de bomberos de 75 pies para el mejor tiempo. Los equipos compiten en tres categorías: Juvenil, Civil y Primeros Intervinientes. Los ganadores en cada categoría recibirán premios, así también el equipo que recaude más fondos.
