Wipe Tests
The Wiper™nPhD is first and foremost an advanced, easy to use, wipe counter. The Wipe Library features storage for up to 30 unique wipe tests. Whether wiping outgoing packages, or checking a fume hood, there is room to configure a location to your needs.

Choose the isotope you wish to look for, or run a full window scan. Wiper nPhD™ will automatically identify and flag any wipes which exceed trigger, and identify the possible contaminating isotopes IN DPM
Wiper nPhD™ automatically calculates the MDA (minimal detectable activity) for each wipe sample.
Need printouts? Add a compact or full page printer for comprehensive reports that will satisfy any inspector.

The Wiper nPhD™ contains a library of 16 separate, customizable tests, giving you the flexibility to run a test your way.
With the Wiper nPhD™ you are not limited by canned test parameters.
Test Library
Do you need to count a run of a short lived isotope? No problem, with reverse decay all your tubes will report as if they were all counted at the same time.
Decay correction will automatically correct your samples tubes for any decay that has happened from the time of the first counted tube.
For example, if you need to count 20 samples of Tc99m you no longer have to worry about your count time, even if it takes you hours to complete the sample run, all your tubes will show as if they were counted at the same time. Decay error is removed.

Sample Volume Correction
With sample volume correction, you can remove the efficiency error introduced by differing volumes of samples, even within the same run.
Every Isotope is unique, every application is different, why should you settle for an overall canned volume correction method.
With the Wiper nPhD™ you don’t have too.
Sample Volume Correction
The Wiper nPhD™ features individual isotopic sample volume correction:
• Define your volume range from anywhere between 50µl to 3ml
• Choose your accuracy - pick 5 - 8 data points for your correction curve.
• Pick only the points that best represent your sample volumes, maximizing the accuracy of your correction curve.
Another unique feature of the Wiper nPhD™ is our iterative counting mode. You can configure a test to repetitively count a sample up to 100 times, without intervention.
Count times are configurable from 1 second to over 16 hours per count,. This allows for a statistical analysis of any sample.
Combined with reverse decay, you can test a sample for impurities, by viewing any activity that is decaying at a different rate.

Isotope Library
The Isotope Library of the Wiper nPhD™ can store up to 30 different isotopes. The most common nuclear medicine isotopes and their efficiencies are pre-entered.
The unique design of our crystal gives us greater mass below the well then any other wipe counter on the market. This allows for improved performance with higher energy isotopes.
Efficiency is stored for each isotope, and is determined by either:
• Measuring a calibrated source. The activity of your source can be entered in DPM, uCi or KBq Entering an approximate efficiency number.
• Using Autospect™ to automatically calculate the efficiency with NO SOURCE NEEDED.
• Entering an approximate efficiency number.
Isotope Library
The isotopes are completely configurable. The user has the power to change:
• Energy window’s lower and upper kev
• Half-Life- set the half-life in seconds, minutes, hours or years
• Efficiency - choose you method
• Volume correction- Sample volume correction is done on a per isotope basis, to allow for the uniqueness of the isotope and different counting tube types.

AutoSpect™Efficiency Correction
Autospect™ automatically corrects for efficiency variation across the energy range. This provides for highly accurate spectral plotting, not achieved with conventional techniques; plus - by adjusting for the photon abundance, absolute activity may be achieved - without needing expensive calibrated sources. Activity can be reported in CPM, DPM, nCi, µCi, mCi, Bq, KBq or MBq.

Multi-Channel Analyzer
At the heart of the Wiper nPhD™ is a powerful 4096 channel (12-bit) analyzer. Other wipe test counters tout, as acceptable only a 256, 64, or even a 6 channel analyzer. If you want to analyze a sample, you need the full resolution of a professional MCA.

The Wiper nPhD™ is the only wipe counter with the power and sophistication of an expensive Multi-Channel Analyzer.
MCA funtions are robust; set Regions of interest, identify peaks, zoom in on a certain area. There are just too many combinations to list here.
With 4096 Channels, you have the power to see down below 1Kev, try to do that on a 64 channel counter!
Decay Calculator
Another unique feature of the Wiper nPhD™ is our decay calculator.
• Count a sample and decay it to a target date/time- in the past or the future.
• Enter an activity with the keypad, and decay it.
• You can even specify a target activity, and the Decay Calculator will tell you the target date/time
• Identify concentration; you can enter a samples volume, count it and determine the isotope concentration, then decay it to a target activity or date/time.
Automatic Detector Gain Calibration
• Using its powerful multi-channel analyzer, detector gain adjust can be run with either Cs137, Na22 or Co57.
• Each Wiper nPhD™ is calibrated at the factory using the Cs137 spectrum. When Cs137 is chosen for gain-calibration, the counter's software uses both the photon and x-ray peaks to linearize the entire energy spectrum. Peaks are accurately displayed relative to their energy.
• One of the nicest things about the gain adjust is that it is NOT necessary to continuously re-calibrate the unit on a regular basis. Unlike other designs, there is very little drift in the detector. For daily Q.C., you only need to run a quick efficiency check to make certain that the calibration factors in place are still accurate, and that the instrument is functioning properly. This efficiency check quickly determines whether or not any drift has occurred and if so, informs the operator that they should run an auto-calibration. This method provides a fast and simple way to monitor system performance without the hassle and time of running a complete calibration every day. Time and labor savings, high reliability and accuracy are what the Wiper™ nPhD was designed for.
