Accessing & How to Use Practice Lab
User ID is your 6-digit number you received when you first made an account. This is a VERY IMPORTANT NUMBER!! If you absolutely cannot find your number, you will have to create another account and get another ID.. Don’t lose the new one.

This example shows what you will enter for the Warren/Shirley Graves Basic Scenario on pg. 27 of Pub 6744. Warren’s SSN is 130-XX-XXXX, so you enter 130 followed by your 6 digit user ID (that very important number)
Then click ‘Interview’

Based on the information provided in the ‘Notes’ section and on their Intake sheet, fill out all of the interview questions in this side column
Once you click ‘Finish’, you will be redirected to the tax form itself

Save all the returns you complete out of Pub 6744!

Homework for the BreakComplete tax forms for Basic Scenarios 7 and 8 (Warren/Shirley Graves on pg. 27 and Teresa Martin on pg. 36)
- Fill out all red lines to the best of your ability; make sure you have looked through the table of contents/tabs of Pub 4012 to address concepts new to you.
- SAVE BOTH RETURNS!! We will be going over them in class.- Based on your work, try to answer the basic test questions up to #25.
Bonus: If you would like, you can begin the tax form for the last scenario (Evan James Swift, pg. 45), which will be homework for the next meeting. This is the last scenario and last 4 questions on the basic exam!!
