If AIMA and otherindustry organisations jointheir efforts, India’s businessecosystem can betransformed,” said Ministerof Railways and Commerce& Industry, Piyush Goyal onthe occasion of 64thFoundation Day and 14thNational Management Dayof All India ManagementAssociation.
The Minister also sought
help of India’s working and retiredmanagers in implementing thegovernment’s schemes in villages.He said that the last mile delivery ofpublic services is a challenge and
managers could adopt their villagesto transform those.
The Minister presented the awardsto industry stalwarts for theircontributions and concerted effortsto take the country to new heights.The theme of this year’s celebrationwas ‘Winning in the Digital Age’.Various dignitaries and notablepersonalities attended the ceremony.
Addressing the audience, SanjayKirloskar, President, AIMA &Chairman & Managing Director,Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., said, “Indianmanagement was facing twinchallenges of technologicaldisruption and economic slowdown.AIMA was there to help Indianenterprises deal with thesechallenges through newmanagement ideas and practices.”
Harsh Pati Singhania, Senior VicePresident, AIMA and Vice Chairman& Managing Director, JK Paper Ltd.
and Rekha Sethi, Director General,AIMA, also addressed the gatheringduring the event.
This year, S Ramadorai, Chairman,Governing Board of the Tata Institute
of Social Sciences, received the AIMALife Time Achievement inManagement Award.
RS Sodhi, Managing Director,Gujarat Co-operative Milk MarketingFederation Ltd., was conferred with
the AIMA Public Service Excellenceaward.
Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, TataSons, was honoured with Dr RamTarneja Award for the Best Article inIndian Management.
The Dr JS Juneja Award for
Creativity and Innovation in MSMEwas presented to Microlit. The awardwas received by Atul Jain, Director,R&D, Microlit and Aadhar Jain, Head-Product Development, Microlit.
The book ‘Innovation: Key to
Success for Enterprises’ waslaunched on the occasion. Dr JSJuneja, Chairman, AIMA MSMECommittee & Chairman, GlobalProjects & Services Pvt. Ltd.introduced the book to theaudience.
