Who or What is Responsible For These Changes?Olivia is all alone in India with no other
friends, so she seeks companionship with the Nawab and Harry, both of which Douglas do not like.
Douglas is constantly at work, and Olivia doesn’t have anything else to do other than socializing with the Nawab and Harry.
Are the relationships disintegrating or improving?
The relationship between Olivia and Douglas is disintegrating over time because she starts having an affair with the Nawab when she cannot get pregnant with Douglas’s child.
