Wind Turbine Tribology CALL FOR PAPERS AND PRESENTATIONS
Friends and Colleagues, The Wind Turbine Tribology technical
committee is soliciting papers to be held at the 70th Annual STLE
Meeting (May 17-21, 2015) in Dallas, Texas (USA). The topics
include but are not limited to:
Practical aspects and issues of wind turbine drivetrain
tribology Fundamental investigations of white etch crack or other
failure mechanisms Advanced materials and surface coating
applications for wind turbine drivetrains Condition monitoring
methods and analyses Gearbox oil filtering and maintenance studies
Advanced lubricant development Contact fatigue failure prediction
modeling Main shaft bearing failure mechanisms
Interested authors can submit abstracts through the society's
online process. To submit an abstract, please visit the STLE web
site, http://stle2015.abstractcentral.com/. Remember to indicate
Wind Turbine Tribology by checking-off the appropriate box when
submitting.
Please note the following deadlines:
October 1st, 2014 (Wednesday) short abstract submissions
March 15th, 2015 (Sunday) student poster competition abstract
submission
