Hear this story once again! And Rejoice! Spellbound, about thirty of us pastors were seated on
the floor around her, like children. She was an edu-
cator of children, graphically illustrating for us the
story of Jesus’ resurrection. She placed small repli-
cas of trees, the cross and the garden tomb on the
floor in front of us.
With serious tone in her voice she told of the cruci-
fixion of Jesus as she held a small plastic figurine
against the small cross. Then she told of how he was
taken down from the cross by friends and lovingly
placed in the tomb. She rolled a small rock over the
opening as she shared how the tomb was sealed.
Excitement grew in her voice as she reminded her
students, us pastors, that Jesus had told his disciples
that he would be crucified, but on the third day he
would rise from the dead.
After a very short period of waiting, she, with ef-
fort, rolled the stone from the tomb and told of the
angel doing it on the day Jesus came out of the tomb.
Then she carefully reached into the small opening,
took hold of the small plastic figurine and brought it
out and stood it up, saying “Christ is risen!”
We in the audience spontaneously responded, “He
is risen, indeed!” We were captured by the story.
Immediately following that beautiful, pictorial illus-
tration of the resurrection of Jesus, one of the col-
leagues in the group asked, “But wouldn’t that give
the children the false impression that Jesus had a bod-
ily resurrection?”
Most of the rest of us looked at him with a “duh”
expression on our faces. “Brother, where have you
been? He IS risen, just as he said. This is not an im-
aginary story about a spirit coming forth from the
dead. He lived, he died, he arose, he is alive!”
Sadly, there are those, even among so called church
leaders, pastors, bishops and seminary professors
who deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus. That he-
retical teaching flies in the face of 2,000 years of or-

CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY! HALLELUJAH!
thodox teaching that Jesus did, in fact, rise from the
dead, in bodily form, just as he said.
There is a great Resurrection Day Hymn that de-
clares, “Christ the Lord is Risen today! Hallelujah!”
That is the clarion call of the Christian Faith. Jesus is
alive! He lived as a man 2,000 years ago here on earth.
He taught, he healed, he lived life to the fullest, he for-
gave sins, he enjoyed children, he challenged the reli-
gious establishment, he ate with sinners, he walked on
water, he turned water into wine, he raised the dead,
he set the demoniacs free, he fed 5,000 people with a
couple of loaves of bread and a few fish, he turned his
world upside-down—and the establishment crucified
and buried him.
It’s one thing to go around doing good - and even
miraculous things, but don’t touch the entrenched es-
tablishment, or “progressive” theologies, unless you
want something bad to happen to you.
However, it came as no surprise to him that this
would happen. He knew very well what he was up
against. So much so that he warned his disciples on
several occasions that he would be killed. Like all
good friends do, they protested and said it would never
happen. He had too much going for him; he was the
very Christ [Messiah] for whom everyone was look-
ing. They couldn’t understand what he said.
Nevertheless, Jesus could see the whole picture—
why he had come in the first place, [to redeem sinful
humanity], what would be the reaction of those in
power [opposition and doing away with the thorn in
their flesh], and what would be the ultimate outcome
[his resurrection]. He knew!
The Resurrection of Jesus is God’s Exclamation
Point! Over 500 people saw him, ate with him, lis-
tened to him and loved on him for forty days after the
resurrection until his Ascension back into heaven.
But, wouldn’t that give the children—and us adults,
the impression that Jesus had been bodily raised from
the dead? Lord, I would certainly hope so! lle
GIVE BIG DATE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Seattle Foundation’s sixth annual Give-
BIG will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.
This annual event gives opportunity for non-
profits to receive special financial support
through the Seattle Foundation for their work.
Wind of the Spirit Ministries is one of the non-
profits on the Seattle Foundation’s network.
This is a one day, online charitable giving
event to inspire people to give generously to
nonprofit organizations who make our region a
healthier and more vital place in which to live.
The Foundation states: “We will “stretch” all
donations up to $5,000 per donor, per organiza-
tion.” This means that Wind of the Spirit Minis-
tries will participate in receiving additional
funds, depending upon the amount of each dona-
tion to the Ministry and the “stretch” money that
is available to the Foundation.
Donations to Wind of the Spirit Ministries may
be made in two ways, both by credit card:
1. On May 3, midnight to midnight, go to our
website, wosm-nw.org, click on May 3, 2016
GiveBIG, OR 2. Go directly to Seattlefoundation.org,
search for and click on Wind of the Spirit Minis-
tries link and make your donation.
This is a great opportunity to see our donations
stretched and in some cases doubled during this
GiveBIG day.
Be sure to mark it on your calendar. NOT
May 2 or May 4, BUT ONLY MAY 3, midnight
to midnight.
Thank you for participating in this GiveBIG
event and helping to make our ministry dollars
stretch in order to
accomplish more in the work of our Lord’s
Kingdom.
The ongoing work of Wind of the Spirit Minis-
tries is supported through the financial gifts of
persons who desire to be involved in helping to
equip the people of God for works of ministry.
This is done through workshops, seminars, clas-
ses and healing academies.
We give thanks to God for all of you who con-
tinue to uphold this ministry with your prayers,
financial contributions and personal contacts
with words of encouragement.
We endeavor to be faithful in our prayers for
you, the practice of good stewardship in the use
of your gifts and our desire to be mutually en-
couraging to you in God’s Kingdom work.

A TESTAMONY OF OUR CO-WORKER INTERNS
We arrived in the States as new interns with Wind of the
Spirit Ministries. We did not know exactly what to expect
and we were in for a pleasant surprise. We arrived tired,
after 5 days and 3 meetings in England and 19 days with 13
meetings in India with additional time spent in packing,
cleaning, organizing and travelling 14 hours in the last 2
days before our flights.
From the moment that we arrived the WOSM team treat-
ed us as royalty. We were met at the airport by Donna
Kirkpatrick who got us safely to our residence, but not be-
fore feeding us Chinese food. We were encouraged to rest
and pray for the first several days, which was a God-send.
It seemed that the team were all well prepared for the Heal-
ing Academy and organizational meetings were just really
smooth and relaxed.
People knew their jobs and a single word was enough to
get things done. We felt tempted to kidnap these people
and take them back to India with us.
We were excited by our topics to teach as each of
us had something close to our hearts. Joy was teaching on
the Holy Spirit and Deliverance. As her husband I feel
qualified to say we have literally seen dozens of deliver-
ances in India and she is someone to follow along in a de-
liverance situation.
I was teaching on Words of Knowledge and Emotional
Healing, both of which were key in my own personal life
and healing. They helped get me to a place where I could
minister to others. What we didn’t know, but soon found
out, was that each of the other teachers were also passion-
ate about their subjects. This was head knowledge and
heart knowledge presented in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We were surprised by the intimacy that developed be-
tween everyone—students, staff and teachers, over those
five days. By the end of the healing service on Friday
evening no one wanted to leave and if anyone had said to
get your sleeping bags we would have camped out in the
sanctuary overnight. Maybe this is a good idea for the next
Healing Academy.
The Healing Academy is all about hands on learning and
by day 4 the students are the ones doing the team prayers at
the healing service. Over and over again students were
taught to ask God, “How should I pray for this person?”
and they are taught and inspired to listen and follow the
Holy Spirit’s leading.
The amazing thing is that God truly speaks in a way that
those who are listening are able to hear and understand. As
we looked on, watching these teams of three applying so
much of what they had just learned, we felt like proud parents. I
am sure that these students will take these skills with them as
they live their lives.
Joy and I strongly recommend that you attend a Healing
Academy. In August, the Journey Within seminar will be
taught, Wednesday-Saturday, August 17-20. Spiritual food is
hard to come by, especially the kind that transforms and em-
powers. If you are not taking advantage of these programs that
create a healthier you more connected to the Father and better
equipped and willing to reach out to others, a question comes to
mind—Why not? Blessings, Jeremy
HEALING ACADEMY TESTIMONIES
I’ve suffered with back pain for over fifteen years due to
injuries that happened many years ago. I fell down a flight of stairs. I also fell from a platform that collapsed under me and onto a concrete floor on my back. The Lord Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, healed my spine, my knees and my ankles of all pain. SB
God has taken me from a life of hopelessness and a life of
pain. I had spent many years in darkness, addiction, abuse, homelessness, prison and so much more in be-tween.
Even in the darkness I knew he was there, I just didn’t reach out to him. July 4th, 2010, he had taken me from the grips of hell and placed me in his loving grace. For the past four years I have been given a peaceful heart, peace from anxiety, peace from bitterness.
Recently God has delivered me from the internal bond-age, where I once had seen anxiety and fear. God has re-newed my being creating me in his image, his daughter. I am his instrument, to shine his light to others and be a beacon of hope.
What a truly grateful heart, Joy and Jeremy. Thank you. Thank God. Safe travels and safe return to your home. You are loved. EN
PRAYER NEEDS AND REQUESTS
Jeremy and Joy Ellington, who presently serve in an Intern relationship with Wind of the Spirit Ministries, will be returning to their work in India on Wednesday, March 17. It has been a joy to have them with us for these few weeks and look for-ward to their return in late June for an extended stay of three months. We pray for travelling mercies as they go home. In the meantime, let us pray for these ministry events await-ing them in India upon their return home. March 22-24—Vacation Bible School Leadership training.
