Why Quality Counts?
Quality Counts is designed to teach young people the importance of displaying good character in carrying out livestock projects, and in every aspect of their lives.
Quality Counts helps exhibitors learn the importance of using proper livestock management practices so that food quality and safety are preserved. Youth par-ticipation in Quality Counts helps ensure that Texas 4-H and FFA members can
continue to be a part of the greatest youth livestock program in the nation.
Instructions
1. Go to http://qualitycounts.tamu.edu/ and select verification
2. Register for the test as a FFA member, 4H member, or a dual FFA/4H mem-ber
3. Enter your name and date of birth along with your chapter and/or county name.
4. Complete the test
Juniors (younger than 14 by September 1st) 10 Question Test
Seniors (older than 14 by September 1st) 20 Question Test
To receive your certification for successfully completing the Quality Counts Verification Exam, you must score at least 80% . If you do not complete
80% of the questions correctly, you will be taken back to the beginning of the test so you can attempt it again.
The test can be taken as many times as needed.
The verification number will be good for a seniors remaining show career but if
you took the test as a junior you will need to take it again once you be-come a senior member. You will need this # when you sign up for the
stockshows.
