    Gosford Times 28

    th November 1918

As stated in last issue, Private Percy Williamson, who enlisted from Gosford, died of broncho-pneumonia on 13

th October after two years and seven active service.

He was a member of Gosford Band, and almost every mail wrote to Bandmaster Lovell. The last letter received from him was dated from france on 22

    nd September, and

it was received by Mr Lovell at Gosford the very day that the cable reported poor Percys death. In his letter he stated that Father Dwyer, of Gosford, was in their Com-pany, and concludes by asking Mr Lovell to convey his kindest regards to the Band boys and friends in general. It was probably poor Percys last word to his pals across the sea.
