And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Colossians 1:16-17Colossians 1:16-17

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” 7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” 9 “For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. Winds and Waves

Should we not learn from the wind and the waves to instantly obey when the Lord commands us?

Unclean Spirits

The demons tremble. Should we not tremble before the great power of God and obey when the Lord commands us?

Diseases

Christ’s power over illness and infirmities was completely obeyed when He said the word. Should we not completely obey when the Lord commands us?

Death

Should we not learn from death and fully obey when the Lord commands us?
