519th Skills Canada National Competition
Canada’s largest display of trade and technology talent brought together over 500 secondary, post-secondary and apprenticeship
students from all areas of Canada to compete in over 40 trade and technology contests in an Olympic-style event.

Toronto June 9- Arrive early am.
June 3 - Depart Toronto at 3:00pm or 4:00pm and arrival 5-6pm. (Check in at Groups on Ground Level-lowest level in Terminal # 1)
June 8 - Depart Vancouver at 10:40 or 11:15pmJune 9 - Arrive Toronto by 7:00am
Connecting flights can be arranged from other cities like Windsor, Ottawa.
All tickets with flight itinerary will be emailed to each participant and advisor

Airline LuggageAIR CANADA CHECKED BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:
Checked baggage ONE item of checked baggage is accepted per person. Second bag is at
a cost and this will be covered by Skills/Goliger’s Travel.
Maximum size: 157 cm (62 in) per piece (length + width + height).
Maximum weight: 23 kgs (50 lbs) per piece. Overweight luggage is at an additional cost . It is better value to have a second piece.
Please make every effort to pack conservatively.
We recommend you list the items in your luggage/toolbox that may be considered ‘dangerous’ or suspicious.
A carry on bag is also permitted but must be no more than 10kgs(22 lbs) and fit under your seat or in the overhead area.
No sharp objects (scissors, knives etc) may be carried in your carry on bag.

TERMINAL 1 ON JUNE 3RD.
ToolboxesSkills Canada – Vancouver requests that all competitor toolboxes be dropped off at registration (We will have trucks to pick up the tool boxes and deliver to the competition site). To ensure that toolboxes are correctly located in each event site for contest start time and security purposes, toolboxes must be securely packed in appropriate containers and must have labels clearly stating the following (your labels are in the Skills registration package):
Competitor’s name Province / TerritoryContest Number Contest Name Failure to comply with this labeling system may mean that toolboxes will not be accepted at the Registration. Toolboxes must be labeled properly before Skills Canada – Vancouver takes possession and responsibility for the toolboxes.
Total cost of the pre-paid package
For all competitors, Skills Canada – Team Ontario provides a bursary of $250 which has been deducted from the rate listed below:

Single accommodation(limited) is available at an additional charge of $440.00

Terms and procedures for booking
Registration forms are to be emailed or faxed to the Skills Ontario & Goliger’s TravelPlus to confirm your participation by Friday, May 10th.
A limited number of air seats and rooms are available for our Team Ontario group. It is essential that you contact Goliger’s TravelPlus to confirm your air, transfer and hotel package. This is done separately from your registration with the Skills office and is due by Friday, May 10th.
As a competitor, you MUST travel on June 3rd (please contact Judy Anger @ Goliger’s TravelPlus for assistance with deviations or for other departure
cities).
