PROGRAM THEMES

Theme 1: The Leadership Context

It is said that the last thing that a fish is

likely to discover is the water it is

swimming in. The question here is: like the

fish, do we take our context for granted?

As women leaders who have a role to play

in shaping and setting the organizational

context, it is imperative that we explore

and understand the milieu and

environment in which we have evolved ourleadership.

Developing the ability to read and decipher

the forces that have shaped our lives as

women and leaders will result in women

becoming more aware of the contexts that

need to be created NOW. Exploring the

question of “what type of context is being

created by your leadership?”, will lead to

building “contextual intelligence” – the

ability to understand the influence of the

contextual forces surrounding women in

leadership, and the ability to adapt and

change the leadership style as

environmental conditions evolve.

During this session, aspects related to

personal, gender and cultural dimensions of

women’s leadership will be covered both in

terms of “what” and also “how” women can

exercise Contextual Leadership and be

masters of their context.

Theme 2: The Alchemy: Activating

The Power of Self

“Alchemy neither composes nor mixes: it

increases and activates that which

already exists in latent state” Being in the leadership space means a

deep commitment to enhancing our

personal and professional capacities.

Creating a strong foundation for

leadership involves building personal

infrastructure. Developing further on the

participants’ understanding of the merits

of good leadership – this session will

provide an opportunity to learn specific

techniques and practices that create

leadership excellence.

The session will focus on building abilities in

three areas:

• Self -Resilience

• Leading and Managing Change

• Global Leadership and Mind-Set

By giving active expression to developing

women’s leadership as an integral part of

business strategy we will move closer to the

goal of building women business leaders.

-“Leaders are more powerful role

models when they learn than when

they teach”

- Rosabeth Moss Kantor

Theme 3: The Dynamics of Women at

Workplace

The session promises to be a Socratic

voyage of discovery with some key

questions that impact women’s leadership development as part of the learning

agenda:

• What are some of the stereotypes that

the workplace reinforces or disputes?

• What are the interpersonal and power

dynamics at the workplace?

What are the challenges related to

Gender Diversity at the workplace and

how they can be addressed?

“The real voyage of discovery

consists not in seeking new landscape, but in having new eyes”

- Marcel Proust, French Essayist and novelist

Theme 4: Women Developing

Women

Networking, Mentoring and Coaching will

form the three pillars of this session.Women working together can create a

powerful energy for achievement of each

other’s potential. The challenge is to

examine and explore the nature of our

engagement with each other and give a

definite commitment towards activating

the latent energy within us.

The session focuses on both exploring the

relevance and building the skills to provide

successful leadership in these areas and

also optimize their growth opportunities.

Theme 5: Presenscing

"To see the world in a grain of sand,

and a heaven in wild flowers, Hold

infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour"

- William Blake

In this final session the focus will be on

evolving the future with actions in the

present.

The specific focus will be on consolidating

and expressing the Leadership Challenges,

Develop Learning Partnerships, and

concretize ways in which women’s

leadership will find its Voice, Expression,

and Engagement.

At the end of this session participants

would have a very clear and definite link

with their “highest future possibility” and

let it come into the present as actual

actions and experiences.

They will also understand the critical

importance of building an Executive

Personal Brand based on their personal

value system; strong delivery of

accomplishment and goals, and building

networks beyond the workplace that will

enrich their capabilities.
