PREREQUISITES: Course includes extensive pre-course work reading, exercises,
and a test. Enrollment is open to full-time, Federal, State, or local law enforcement officers or fire management personnel who have responsibilities for the investigation of wildland fires. Students must have successfully completed FI-210 before registering for this course.
BLM personnel are required to fill out the Law Enforcement
Training Nomination form in addition to the regular training nomination.

desiring to become qualified as Wildland Fire Investigation Team members (INTM) for complex, serial arson investigations.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is a combination of lecture, break-out sessions, and a practical exercise. In the break-out sessions and the final practical exercise, student teams will plan, analyze, organize, and conduct a complex, serial arson investigation. Therefore it is important the prework is completed prior to class to be able to participate in the break-out sessions and final practical exercise.
