This is because if one device breaks then the connection is not broken. it also allows the sharing of the internet. Transmission media- I recommending using Cat5 cabling as it is faster then wireless however if there are lap tops being used then the use of a wireless connection will be required.

2. A local shop that is part of a state-wide chain of stores Topology –WAN (or wide area network) Transmission media – Ethernet cable and utp

3. A school with both primary and secondary classes Topology –a star network is suitable as it allows computers can other devices to go down without affecting other areas as this is quite a common occurrence. Transmission media- cat 5 was used as it is cheap can be run over long distances.

4. An international online travel and tourism business. Topology –WAN- a wan is suitable for the international business because it is located across a wide area. Transmission media- UPT or unshielded twisted pair was used because it is cheaper which is a great benefit when running the cable over a large distance, Ethernet was used to connect the computers in the store to the main network
