TECHNICAL TEACHING
Receiving skills – 0 touch,1 touch.
Use of the first touch - to secure the ball, set up opponent,eliminate the opponent.
Using any surface for the first touch whilst receiving from any distance, height etc.
Dummying and disguising the first touch.
Clever, unexpected first touches on the ball.
“False” first touches.
First touch play at a variety of speeds.
Multi – touch play to “set-up” the defender – move AT or to the SIDE of defenders.
Ball manipulation skills.
Protecting the ball & escaping from the pressure alone or by using others.
Eliminating the opponent alone.
Combining with others to eliminate the opponent.
Passing the ball (all surfaces) whilst moving at varied speeds.
Crossing the ball whilst moving at various speeds.
Crossing “repertoire” – both feet,any surface,any side of pitch.
Passing the ball into and inside the box from flank approaches.
Driving infield with the ball and options from the drive.
Combination play in and around the box.
Goal-scoring from central positions.
Defending skills of pressing,tracking,sliding,covering etc

TACTICAL TEACHING
Positioning – to receive to feet or to space – how,where and when.
Individual “movements” to elude an opponent –
to receive in front,alongside,behind an opponent.
- “spins” - “loop runs”- “steps” -“checks” etc
Attacking the defender with the ball.
Attacking the defender without the ball – to a position beyond ,off or inside DF.
Attacking the spaces between and to sides of defenders – effect ?
Moving either side of the defender
“Setting-up” the defender.”
Driving infield – option available.
Playing with and off others.
Creating space for others – with & without the ball.
“ Wandering infield” --- WHY ? HOW ? AND to do what ?
Positioning to score goals eg at far post and central.
Movement to arrive in scoring positions.
How to use personal capabilities – pace,quick feet,cleverness,limited abilities.
Getting “something out of nothing !”
Appropriate defending skills – pressing,sliding,doubling-up,tracking etc
