The members of the Pacific Symphony League are tireless donors of time, talent and resources for Pacific Symphony. Every year, tens of thousands of young people are touched by the League through their generous support of the Symphony’s music education programs. Not only do League members bring budding music lovers up close and personal with instruments and music making at Musical Carnivals and in other volunteer capacities, but their fundraising efforts raised almost $100,000 in 2011-12. This support allowed a huge number of young people – from kindergarteners in the Frieda Belinfante Class Act Program to top-notch high school musicians in Pacific Symphony Youth Ensembles – to have meaningful, life-changing interactions with music. With the addition of the wonderful members of the Opera Focus group, the League has been able to expand its support even further by bringing children’s operas to life as part of the Family Musical Mornings Series.
