The Aircraft Electronics Association, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, is hosting a 2-day Wi-Fi Summit for industry participants involved in certifying and installing Wi-Fi equipment in aircraft.

ISSUE:• Wi-Fi is a growing technology in the business aircraft environment.• There is confusion and conflict in the initial certification of products.• There is confusion and conflict in the field installation certification of products.• There is confusion and conflict between business aircraft products and air carrier products.

SOLUTION:Bring authorities and industry together to cross-educate both sides; to standardize approaches; and to ensure both industry and agencies are using the best practices when moving forward.
