. I will be happy to clarify any doubts from my Christian friends in particular and all others in general. FareedSiddique.

Muslims always believed in the word of God, the Injeel / Gospels that were revealed tothe prophet Issa-Ibn-Maryam a.s we must first of all know that the present day Biblewas corrupted and is most unreliable and is mostly filled with man-made laws and

corruption! I prefer to term them as conjectures instead of lies, because it wastampered to an extent unacceptable by any sense of reason.

However, the Saul of tarsus [Paul, the godfather of Christendom] openly accepted tohave tampered the word of God in the Bible itself, See my paper St. Paul, Master ofChristendom

We read in the Bible: "How can you say, "We [the Jews] are wise, for we have the lawof the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?' (Fromthe NIV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"

The Revised Standard Version makes even clearer: "How can you say, 'We are wise,and the law of the LORD is with us'? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes hasmade it into a lie. (From the RSV Bible, Jeremiah 8:8)"

In either translation, we clearly see that the Jews had so much corrupted the Bible withtheir man-made cultural laws, that they had turned the Bible into a lie!

See Also Deuteronomy 31:25-29 where Moses peace be upon him predicted thecorruption / tampering of the Law (Bible) after his death.

DEUTERONOMY 031|029 For I know that after my death you will utterly corruptyourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil willbefall you in the latter days; because you will do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provokehim to anger through the work of your hands.

The Book of Moses predicted that the Law (Bible) will get corrupted. The Book ofJeremiah which came approximately 826 years after Moses died indeed it confirms thiscorruption. The book of Moses terms the Jews as stiff-necked people, people who willturn against their Lord the God of the universe.

'For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck behold, while I am yet alive with you thisday, Ye have been rebellious against the Lord, and how much more after my death?DEUTERONOMY 31:27

"Ye have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew youDEUTERONOMY 9:24

So Moses was fully aware that his people will turn against their Lord God when he wasalive and doubted theyd do it more after his death. Yes, we find that same, how true

the prophet of Allah s.w.t Moses a.s predicted.

With such instructions in a book, being called as a book of God, how can we Muslimsbelieve in that book? We dont believe that such instructions could be of God theAlmighty; instead it is from the Satan.

Quran 5:90. O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling,Al-Ansb[], and Al-Azlm (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of

Shaitn's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that youmay be successful. SadakhAllah alazeem

The Quran with those words is the only Word of God is sure.

" Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of theincorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleannessthrough the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies betweenthemselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the

creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. I tend to agree to the clear statement of the Bible above. The entire nation of thefollowers of Paul and the bare witness of the verse above. We find 33% of theAmerican women and 41% of the American men indulging in these acts (see New York

Post survey). What parts of the Bible do Muslims believe are closest to the Truth?

Islam is a witness on the Bible. It filters out the truth from falsehood and corruption inthe Bible. Anything that agrees 100% with the Noble Quran is valid, and anything elsethat has even the slightest disagreement with Quran is discarded and treated as aconcocted lie.

"Know they not Allah Knoweth what they conceal and what they reveal? And there areamong them illiterates, who know not the Book (i.e., the Bible), but (see therein theirown) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture. Then woe to those who write theBook with their own hands, and then say: 'This is from Allah,' To traffic with it for a

miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they makethereby. (The Noble Quran, 2:77-78)"Sadakhallah alazeem.

Another misunderstanding Muslims often fall into concerns the Bible. Christianmissionaries in almost every discussion of the Quran assert that the Quran asksMuslims to believe in the Bible as a revelation of God. Many Muslims tend to fall intothis trap by saying that "we believe in the Bible as revealed book." Once the Muslimaccepts this fact, the followers of Paul can point out that the Bible contradicts theQuran and that since the Bible has precedence over the Quran and since Muslims arerequired to believe in it, it therefore logically follows that the Bible is right and the

Quran is wrong. But the Quran says no such thing.

There is no reference to the Bible in the Quran whatsoever. The Quran mentions theTaurat (Old Testament) and the Injil (New Testament). The Taurat is the book given toProphet Moses. This equivalent of the Torah / Pentateuch of the Jews and Christians,since much of it was not written by Prophet Moses. And the Taurat is definitely not theOld Testament since the OT includes dozens of books attributed to other prophetsbefore Jesus. The Injil is translated as the Gospel revealed to Prophet Jesus. This isnot the New Testament.

The New Testament is a collection of 4 biographies of Christ, 27 epistles of St. Paul[the destroyer of the word of God given to Moses and Jesus], and other books on thelives and adventures on the followers of Christ. There is no record of a book revealed

to Jesus. Perhaps the closest to it are the words of Jesus himself, which constitutesless than 10% of the NT. Therefore to say that Christians changed the Bible is aninaccurate statement and causing trouble in a discussion, because the Christian canthen ask questions such as: Who changed the Bible? When exactly was it changed?How do you know it was changed if you don't have a copy of the original? The Bible,or at least the New Testament, cannot be an altered copy of the Injil because it is acompletely different book.

In fact, the original Bible or New Testament (the very first one) did not correspond tothe Injil, Taurat, or Zabur in the first place. It doesn't matter how unreliably it was

transmitted; the Bible does not correspond to the Quranic Injil.

It is not that the Christians have changed the original, but rather they have the wrongbook, altogether. The words of Christ are possibly the closest thing to the Injil, but ifsome of them don't agree with the Noble Quran, then we don't take them as they wereinserted and concocted lies of Saul of Tarsus. The recently discovered Gospel ofThomas, which is nothing but a list of sayings of Jesus, is even closer to the Islamicconcept of Injil. Therefore, it should be kept in mind in discussion with Christians thatthe Bible has not been changed, but rather the original documents chosen as the wordof God were incorrect.

Of course, we Muslims believe in the word of God given to all the prophets [peaceupon them all]. But the word of God that was given to these prophets has beencorrupted by lying scribes, do Allah did send the word again, the same word that wassent to all the prophets. So Quran says to the Muslims thus:

Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us andthat which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes, andthat which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to (all)prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him

(Allah) we submit." [Quran 2:136]

So we rightly believe in the true word of Allah s.w.t that was sent to all the Prophets inany plain terms. Allah did not made any promise to protect the words that he gave tothe previous prophets. But Allah promises to keep the last word of Allah, Quran safefrom such lying pens and the Satan.

Nay, this is a Glorious Quran, (inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! (The Noble Quran,85:21-22)

So we Muslims dont worry about the safety of Quran. Anything that contradicts to theword of God [Allah s.w.t] is a concocted lie of the lying scribes.! Beware O Muslims,the followers of Saul of Tarsus are the wolves in the disguise of meek lambs of the

Last but not the least, Jesus pbuh is in hell concludes the Bible. The Bible is the onlybook that concludes that Jesus pbuh is in hell, this comparison was given to me by anatheist during a chat. In Matt 5:22 he says if you call someone a fool you will go to hell.Then in Matt 23:17 he addresses a group as "Ye fools!

Lets compare: MATTHEW [NKJV] 005|022` But I say to you, that whosoever is angrywith his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoevershall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall

say, you fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. [Raca means blind]

MATTHEW 023|017 [NKJV]Ye foolsandblind: for whether is greater, the gold, or thetemple that sanctifieth the gold?

O my Christian reader!Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah [S.W.T],which cannot be turned back. On that Day you will have no hiding-place and no means of

(Surah Hud, 11)So far, I have described the Qur'anic understanding ofpatience and have highlighted how it differs from the understanding held by those who arefar from religion of Islam by comparing their behavior and the disbelief of the followers ofSt. Paul.
