Ecotourism in Iran The study of the natural geography of Iran and also, the feasibility of each ecotourism

attraction for investment in our country indicates that ecotourism in Iran is a very

unique and fruitful economic resource which has so far been untapped.

The exemplary geographical and seasonal diversity of Iran has provided very different

species of flora and fauna thus paving a way for the country to avail the benefit of

being one of the few countries in the world with such a rich biodiversity. Apart from

tourism industry and building activities including work on

projects such as studies of the National Tourism Plan,

comparative studies on tourism with special interests,

religious tourism, Hommame Velayat road projects,

urban tourism, studies of ecotourism in Qeshm and

Kish, consultations on the programs of national plans

in several provinces in the country, providing investment

opportunities, branding and feasibility of ecotourism in

Iran and so on and so forth. Furthermore, the institute

designed, consulted and implemented numerous

exhibition of Islamic Republic of Iran in Australia, UAE,

Kazakhstan, Czech, London, Austria, Turkmenistan,

Zagreb, Thailand, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea,

Turkey and Germany and moreover is planning to hold

the activities of study and research on issues related to

tourism including analysis of vision of the government in

the field of tourism by the year 2025.

Iran in a GlanceSecretary General of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Taleb Rifai disclosed

that millions of tourists will visit Iran in the near future. (IRNA, 9-March, Berlin)

‘Iran is one of the most attractive and greatest hosts of tourists at a global level and

my prediction is that Iran has to be ready for hosting millions of tourists in the near

future, what we are observing in Iran is only the beginning of one of the biggest

tourism developments not only in Iran, but also for the entire region,’ he added.

UNWTO: Iran ranked 48 in tourist attraction “United Nations World Tourism Organization announced top 50 countries in terms

of tourism attractions. By attracting 4.7 million foreign tourists, Islamic republic of

Iran ranked 48th in 2013 for the first time since the Islamic Revolution,” said head

of UNWTO secretariat in Iran Ali Bagher Nemati, to Mehr News corresponde.

As IETEX 2017, supported by: The Ministry of Industry, Mine & Trade of Iran; The

Association of Air Transport & Tourism Agencies of Iran; and The Cultural Heri-

tage, Handicrafts & Tourism Organization of Iran, it is indeed a great pleasure to

welcome you at our ecotourism exhibition from 2nd to 5th September 2017.

The exhibition is a platform where you can get familiar with Iran’s ecotourism activ-

ities. It will be a great opportunity to introduce your company to 80 million Iranians

and other participant companies.

The event will commence with themes surrounding Nature; Water and Soil. The

second day will be dedicated to Human Activities and Nature. The third day theme

will be about Ethnics & Ethnical-Religious Music. “Equipment for the Sake of Na-

ture” will mark the end of exhibition on the fourth day.

As the IETEX Exhibition 2017 is an unique exhibition, it is expectable to meet the
