Why Are We Expanding Learning Time at Collins?
We are expanding learning time at theCollins Middle School because:
• We need to accelerate our students’ academic progress.
• We need to provide more opportunities for intervention and acceleration.
• We need to give teachers more instructional time as well as provide teachers with more focused opportunities to plan and collaborate.
• We believe students will benefit greatly by increasing opportunities to learn outside core subjects in engaging enrichment classes which also allow more time for their social-emotional growth.
