Have your ads stand out over others. This interior bus advertising option gives you 50% of the ad space on one transit bus. You may also dedicate your bus to a specific route.

Purchasing one bus gives you 10 17”x11” ads placed sequentially on both the driver and passenger sides of bus. This is a total of 20 ads on one bus. Printing is not included in advertising cost and is $100 per bus*.

Shuttle-UM advertising is less expensive than radio, newspaper and magazine advertising.

Shuttle-UM serves over 3.5 million riders per year, over 85,000 per week and 15,000 daily. Its 23 routes cover local neighborhoods such as Greenbelt and Hyattsville and extend as far as 20 miles north to Columbia.

All Shuttle-UM route schedules are printed and available to students in high-traffic locations such as the Stamp Student Union and the DOTS office in Regents Drive Garage. In addition, they can be viewed through mobile & web devices.

The university parking garages are visited by thousands of guests throughout the year from major events on campus such as Maryland Day, Homecoming, and sporting events.

Shuttle-UM campus bus stops have a 6.75” wide by 23” tall display cases for advertisements. Choose your desired bus stop to target specific transit riders.

Shuttle-UM Bus Schedules

Bus schedules provide time estimates and locations for each of our 23 bus routes. They are viewable on the DOTS website and may be picked up at the Stamp Student Union and the DOTS office in Regents Drive Garage. Advertising on schedules include both our paper and online schedules.

Price includes small add-on schedule as well as a logo marker on map if applicable.Advertisers are not entitled to sole advertising rights to purchased schedules.

Shuttle-UM Bus Shelters

The UMD campus has eight bus shelters located in high traffic bus stop locations. This advertising option offers ad placement on one of the glasss panels on each of the eight bus shelters.

UMD Parking Garage - Interior

The university garages are frequently used by the campus community and visitors. Place your ads in specific garages to connect with athletics and performing arts patrons, prospective students and more. Currently, there are five parking garages across campus.

Advertising cost includes space for all available locations in a designated garage.

Campus Connectons - transit guide

Do you have an important message you want the entire campus community to know? How about printing a large banner and hanging it over a parking garage. Exterior advertising gets noticed by everyone who passes it. Currently, the university has five parking garages across campus.

Advertising purchase reserves one specific location in one garage.

Advertising cost includes initial printing and installation of ads. Email dotsMarketing@umd.edu if interested in prices for other campus garages.

The transit guide is DOTS’ guide to getting around. Each semester 6,500 copies are distributed to students and faculty/staff. They get delivered to campus dorms, local apartments, and the Stamp Student Union. We offer ad space inside and the back cover of the booklet.

The transit guide gets printed twice a year in August and January. Let us know in advance and we can hold a spot for you in our next semesters guide.
