7th Grade Math Equation Mobiles
Fifth grade has really embraced technology, not only in history class but also in creative writing, where they are now doing assignments on the iPads as well. They are very excited and are doing a great job!
Is a stingray smooth or rough to the touch? Ask any 4th, 5th or 7th Grade student. They had the unique privilege of playing with the rays at the Ray Touch Pool at the Mystic Aquarium.
Did you know that 5th grade purchased a care package full of goodies, sweets, music CDs, toiletries, and other stuff to be sent to a soldier at Christmastime? The program is called Soldiers' Angels (May No Soldier Go Unloved). They will also be writing letters to soldiers for Christmas. Way to care! Would your family be interested in loving a soldier this Christmas? Find information at www.soldiersangels.org.
Whoever said math was boring never met these creative geniuses!
5th Grade had a busy month! They also enjoyed a Middle East Feast. Ask them what their favorite Middle Eastern delicacy was.

NIKKI and MARY
Meet Nikki and Mary, the two female beta fish who make their home in the 1st Grade classroom. They have been a part of the BCA family since the summer of 2012. Last year’s class had the privilege of naming them, but this year’s class is also enjoying watching them grow.
Here are some fun facts you may not know about the carnivorous female beta. First, they can be tank mates, unlike the extremely aggressive males of the same species. The female is not usually as
attractive as the male. Finally, the stomach of the fish is roughly the size of its eyeball. They won’t be eating much this Thanksgiving, will they? J
On Friday, November 15, Rev. Paul Veit and his lovely wife Lindy, delighted the students with many interesting facts about dinosaurs and how they fit into God’s creative plan. He displayed amazing artifacts – real dinosaur eggs,100 lb dinosaur dung, a six foot high mammoth leg and more. A fun and informative time for all!

Second Grade Earns a Fun Friday Full of Rainbows
Pioneer Party for 2nd and 3rd Grade
Third Grade Meets Bass Pro
Students received their tie-‐dyed shirts they made at the Pioneer Party, did Rainbow Spelling, did Rainbow Math with Fruit Loops (using tally marks) and Rainbow Goldfish (graphing), read Dr. Seuss' One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and made Rainbow Sherbet Floats while watching a movie about Pocahontas. What do rainbows and 2nd Graders have in common? They are both full of promise!
Second Grade pioneers, clad in bonnets and coonskin caps, hitched up their covered wagons and traveled long over treacherous terrain to play pioneer games, eat delectable community soup and watch “Sarah, Plain and Tall”. Third Grade joined them to make colorful tie-‐dyed shirts. Now, whose turn is it to use the washboard?
Is something fishy going on here? Nah! It’s just our nature-‐loving third graders fishing for fun at Bass Pro Shops.

On November 1st, Grades 6-‐12 became SUPERHEROES for the 2013 Faux Formal. The pictures are worth a thousand words. J Super food, super games and
superheroes made for a night of super fun!
The Lady Eagles varsity volleyball team finished up another successful season last week. The team went 8-0 in the conference and secured the WCAC championship for the 2nd straight year. Overall, the Eagles 10-6 record earned them the 11th seed in the MIAA Div III state tournament.
Hopedale got the best of the Lady Eagles in the first round game but BCA has made it to the state tournament consistently over the past few years. The future looks bright for the talented underclassmen who will be carrying the volleyball program next fall.
Thanks to all the parents and fans for their support! Go Eagles!
