INTRODUCTION THE PURPOSE OF THIS EXPERIMENT IS TO INVESTIGATE A

CRIME SCENE BY USING ALL OF WHAT WE LEARNED TO DETERMINE WHO POISONED BUZZ.

WE WILL HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO USE THE CONDUCTIVITY METER, ATRIPLE BEAM BALANCE,HOW TO FIND THE DENSITY

AND VOLUME OF OBJECTS,AND ETC. IN THIS PROJECT WE HAVE TO DETERMINE PHYSICAL AND

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF HOT DOGS,POWDERS,WRAPS,AND DRINKS TO DETERMINE WHO POISONED BUZZ.

DROPPERS,SODIUM BICARBONATE,CONDUCTIVITY METER,BALANCE,GRADUATED CYLINDER,HYDROCHLORIC

ACID,GOGGLES,AND FORCEPS.

PROCEDURES TO FIND THE COLOR OF SOME OF THE OBJECTS YOU HAVE TO LOOK

VERY CLOSELY AT THE OBECT AND DESCRIBE THE COLOR OF WHAT THE OBJECT LOOKS LIKE TO YOU.

TO FIND THE DENSITY OF OBJECTS YOU HAVE TO DIVIDE MASS/VOLUME.FIRST YOU HAVE TO PUT THE OBJECT ON A TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE SO YOU CAN FIND THE MASS.THEN YOU HAVE TO PUT THE OBJECT IN A GRADUATED CYLINDER TO FIND THE VOLUME. THEN YOU DIVIDE THE 2 NUMBERS THAT YOU GET AND THAT’S YOUR DENSITY.

TO FIND THE CONDUCTIVITY OF AN OBJECT YOU MUST PUT THE END OF THE CONDUCTIVITY METER ONTO THE OBJECT AND YOU HAVE TO SEE IF THE RED OR GREEN LIGHT LIGHTS UP THE MOST AND THEN YOU LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE METER AND YOU HAVE TO DETERMINE THE CONDUCTIVITY.

TO FIND THE SMELL OF AN OBJECT YOU DO NOT PUT THE OBJECT RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE.YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR HAND AND FAN IT TOWARDS YOU WITH THE OBJECT IN THE OTHER HAND.

LIQUIDS ON THE OBJECT AND YOU HAVE TO LOKK VERY CLOSELY TO SEE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS.THIS IS WHEN YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE

YOUR MAGNIFYING GLASS. TO FIND OUT IF SOMETHING IS MALLEABLE YOU REALLY JUST HAVE

TO USE COMMON SENSE AND DETERMINE IF IT CAN BE HAMMERED OUT.

TO FIND OUT IF SOMETHING IS LUSTER YOU JUST LOOK AT THE OBJECT AND TELL IF IT’S SHINY OR NOT.

TO FIND OUT THE APPEARANCE OF AN OBJECT YOU SHOULD LOOK VERY CLOSELY AT THE OBJECT AND RIGHT THINGS DOWN THAT YOU NOTICE ABOUT THE OBJECT.FOR EXAMPLE SHAPE,COLOR,SIZE,AND ETC.

TO FIND OUT THE MELTING POINT OF AN OBJECT YOU JUST HAVE TO PUT THE OBJECT ON SOMETHING HOT AND WHEN THE OBJECT STARTS MELTIN YOU LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURE AT WHICH IT MELTED AT.

TO FIND THE POST-SQUEEZED MASS OF AN OBJECT YOU HAVE TO SQUEEZE THE OBJECT 9(IF YOU CAN) AND THEN YOU PUT EVERYTHING YOU SQUEEZED ONTO A TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE AND THEN YOU FIND THE MASS OF THE OBJECT.

METER TO SEE THE CONDUCTIVITY OF THE LIQUIDS. SUDDENLY AFTER THAT WE SMELLED THE LIQUIDS TO SEE HOW THEY SMELLED. FINALLY WE LIT THE LIQUIDS ON FIRE TO SEE IF THEY WERE FLAMMABLE.

WE DECIDED AS A GROUP AS TO WHETHER IT WAS A PURE SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE.ONCE WE FIGURED THAT OUT WE DECIDED TOWHETHER IT WAS HOMOGENOUS OR HETEROGENEOUS. AFTER THAT WE DECIDED TO WHETHER THE SUBSTANCE WAS A PURE SUBSTANCE,AN ELEMENT, OR A COMPOUND.

TO FIND THE CONDUCTIVITY WE USED THE CONDUCTIVITY METER TO DETERMINE HOW HIGH OR LOW THECONDUCTIVITY WAS. TO FIND OUT THE REACTIVITY WE PUT A CERTAIN LIQUID INTO THE POWDERS TO SEE IF THEY WOULD REACT.LASTLY TO SEE IF THEY WERE FLAMMABLE OUR TEACHER LIT THE POWDERS ON FIRE AND WE WATCHED CLOSELY TO SEE IF ANYHTHINGHAPPENED.

AFTER THAT WE DIVIDED THE MASS BY THE VOLUME AND GOT THE DENSITY.AFTER THAT WE USED THE CONDUCTIVITY METER TOFIND THE CONDUCTIVITY OF THE HOT DOGS. THEN WE PUT THEN WE WROTE DOWN THE MASS BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAD IT FROM BEFORE.AFTER THAT WE SQUEEZED THE HOT DOGAND PUT IT ON THE TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE TO FIGURE OUT THE MASS AFTER IT BEING SQUEEZED.LASTLY WE PUT A LIQUID ON THE HOT DOG TO SEE IF ANY REACTIONS WOULD HAPPEN.

In conclusion I think Ariel poisoned Buzz. I think this because Ariel had all the items that were Used to poison Buzz. I came to my conclusion by using my fantastic science skills to investigate the crime scene.
