• Founded by two visionary Victorians. John Groom was a young apprentice silversmith

• And the seventh Earl of Shaftesbury - one of Britain’s greatest social reformers

• Coming from different social positions, both found inspiration in their Christian faith and applied their energy, thought and resources to creating innovative, radical solutions to the problems of their day.

• Today we are known simply as

• We believe that everyone should have the freedom to live their lives and use their abilities.

• With the emphasis on choice, independence and control, we offer;– residential care services, – supported living, – lifestyle choices /enterprise,– brain injury & rehabilitation,– education through a school

and two colleges,– accessible holiday

Individually tailored from just a few hours a week to 24-hour care.  We support you to live in your own home. We will help you to be independent and have more choice about how you live.

We believe that everyone has the right to live how they want.

Working to very high professional standards. We make sure our staff are well-trained. We make sure that all service users feel safe and we respect your privacy. We listen to what you want and what you say about our service.• Where do we work?

Currently we provide services in Dorset, South East England, East London Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Essex

• What is ‘Lifestyle Choices’?

‘Lifestyle Choices’ helps disabled clients to have a fuller life outside their home.

We support them to make friends and do things they enjoy in their community. • How does it work?Livability provides a one-to-one service to support and enable our clients with physical, sensory

and learning disabilties by working with them for as long as necessary according to their needs assessment. This is done because what our clients want to do is the most important thing to us.

• What interests and activities are covered?

In every area we work, we can identify many opportunities to get involved with but here are just some of the activities we can support;
