Who: AFTV-African Television- is a free to air television station owned by Scope Media TV and based out of Nigeria. The station is operating out of The Netherlands on EU broadcast license issued by the Dutch media authorities. What : AFTV is designed to promote Africa. This is a specialty channel dedicated solely to promote the “beauty” of Africa. The station broadcast the developments in Africa, the social, modern lifestyle of the Africans, tourism, culture and unbelievable aspects of the continent. The point of the station is to change the perception of Africa. When: AFTV has been launched since March 10 th , 2012. The station is operating 24 hours daily. It currently has a huge line-up of program contents being delivered from across the globe. Very few are aware of the global contribution of this continent to the global world. AFTV among its objectives is to promote the jewels from Africa. Educate the world about “Unbelievable Africa”. Statement of Need:In the Netherlands are hundreds of TV stations available. Most stations are specialty channels catering to specific target markets. There is no other specific channel for Africans or Afrocentric.

Promotion campaign: Bringing 5000 People to Africa:The station is taking 5000 Europeans to visit Africa . The tour starts soon and will showcase 10 countries in Africa. AFTV is promoting and broadcasting the tour.

Guests are guaranteed free transportation to Africa including hotel accommodation for 14 days. This project is to attract viewers to the station while promoting the station and Africa simultaneously.

Future Funding:Scope Media TV has been established in The Netherlands to FUND AFTV. The company is currently working with ambassadors of African countries to raise FUNDS for projects which has AFTV as one of its primary projects.

AFTV is currently being funded by Scope Media TV with a capacity for more investors. Funds allocated by Scope Media TV are designed solely for operating expenses.

Together, scope Media TV and AFTV have embarked on an 8 million Euros fund raising project.
