Option 2: Imitate the style and theme of Whitmans Song of Myself. If you choose this option, you should not create

line by line copy of Whitmans poem. Rather, you should strive to capture the tone, feel, and themes of Whitmans

poem using your own free verse structure. See the example. Since this option is arguably more difficult than option 1,

is worth more points. Attach your copy of Whitmans poem and your original poem to a sheet of colored paper.
