SITE ENTRANCE ARRANGEMENTS
• Pedestrian entrance for all staff and visitors is via Porchester Gardens
• Secondary welfare access to open next week from Redan Place.
• Vehicle access onto the site is via Redan Place
• Deliveries to Queensway/Porchester Gardens
WORKS OVERVIEW
• Completed/Active works - Southern dome removal - Carriageway and footpath improvement works - Street light removal Queensway and Porchester Gardens - Soft strip works under rear car park - Service decommissioning. Gas, aircon, Comms, Water, Electric - Heritage window and stair removal - Asbestos survey throughout entire building- Demolition of rear car park to ground floor- UKPN substation bases – Porchester Gardens

FAÇADE RETENTION SCHEME
• Design in place • Steel fabrication has started • Footpath substrate improvement works• Steel frame erection due to start Mid February 19 • Frame erection planned completion June 19
TOWER CRANES
• Two tower cranes are to be erected
• TC1 (South) 23/24th February 19• TC2 (North) 9/10th March 19
• TC dismantles Sept/Oct 19
HOARDING AND ROAD WORKS
• Hoarding to Queensway has been installed with the centre section to be completed after the old pedestrian crossing “build out” is removed.
• Temporary substation base construction to start W.C 4th Feb
• Queensway bus stop is closed. Relocation of the advertising board is pending.
• Road improvement works (hump removal) are complete along Queensway and Redan Place footway
• Porchester Gardens bus stop is to be suspended from 4th Feb. A temporary footpath closure will shortly be in place to allow façade frame preparation and erection. Estimated closure 6-8 weeks
ASBESTOS AND SOFT STRIP WORKS
• Asbestos survey/investigations are complete. No asbestos due to 1980’s rebuild.
• Soft strip works are continuing within the shopping centre
• Erith welfare on GF of Queensway is active.
NOISE DUST AND VIBRATION
• Real time monitors installed and active.
• Monitoring plans and trigger levels agreed with WCC
• Alerts sent if any trigger levels are breached
• Onsite testing of dust suppression equipment completed before Christmas
• Concerns raised by residents when demolition started. WCC inspectors have been onsite to monitor our methods with no concerns raised.
DEMOLITION
• Demolition of the car park began 7th January
• Demolition of the car park to be complete mid April 19
• Demolition of the car park basement slab March to end May 19
• Demolition of the main shopping centre May – Nov 19
COMMUNITY LIAISON
Liaison Group Meetings will be held every Month
Newsletters will be sent out on a monthly basis and information notices on a ad-hoc basis

The contact telephone number of the Erith Site Manager and Erith Communications Team will be displayed around the site boundary and contained in newsletters and notices.
