In 2011, Artisan won a highly competitive tender to design andbuild a bespoke 31,000 sq ft service operation centre for KelwayLtd at OPUS Business Park.

Artisan were chosen as the preferred developer and contractorbecause of their track record throughout East Anglia for deliveringhigh quality, modern offices and business developments as wellas their knowledge and expertise demonstrated throughout theselection process.

The purpose-built three-storey, detached office building wascommissioned by Kelway to support its expanding operations andaccommodate over 350 of its staff. As the UK’s fastest growingIT supplier with offices across the UK, Kelway required a highlymodern and efficient building to meet the requirements ofKelway’s business and its employees, including meeting thecompany’s environmental aims.

The new premises have achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’(the world’s leading design and assessment method forsustainable buildings), thereby making it one of the most energyefficient buildings ever to be built in Peterborough.

This dynamic new build was completed in June 2012 after 46weeks of development.

It won Peterborough City Council’s ‘Best Commercial /Community Development Award 2012’.

Artisan was also shortlisted for the ‘RICS East of England Awards2013’, in the ‘Commercial and Design & Innovation’ category.
