A word from Sven continues ….

Let’s do it can also only be done properly if all of usknow that what we are doing is right – this is true forleaders and managers as well as all employees. As leaders we need to know that employees are happyand that we are on the right track. It is no use operatingin a vacuum as this means that we will never achieve ourresults.

A survey therefore helps us to find out where we canassist our employees and what else we can do so thatthey become ambassadors for all our brands and alsobecome owners of the business and their operatingcompany. Only if we are all happy and fulfilled willwe have the LET’S DO IT attitude at all times.

Let’s do it – together.

Water saving remains priority:

OpCo Update

BROLL NAMIBIA

Our colleagues have launched an innovative water savings campaign aimed at educating tenants and shoppers at our properties on the current water crisis faced in the country and the importance of saving water.

Activities at Wernhil Park, Standard Bank Centre/Town Square, Kaiserkrone, Alexander Forbes House/Carl List Mall, Fruit & Veg City, Cashbuild and the Old Breweries Craft Market include saving tips, stickers with contact numbers, posters while employees took to the floor to engage with shoppers.

Well done!

Broll Namibia – serious about water savings

Broll Namibia recently kicked off with a water savings campaign aimed at educating tenants and shoppers at its properties on the current water crisis faced in the country, and the importance of saving water. Broll Namibia MD, Marco Wenk: “It is important to protect the environment in which we operate and to look after the natural resources of our beautiful country for generations to come.”

Brollies team with the launch of the Water Saving Campaign at Wernhil

• When you give your pet fresh water, use the old water on plants outside instead of pouring it down the drain.

• Do not use water to defrost foods. Although many people do use this method it requires a lot of water consumption to do this.

• Use a layer of mulch around your plants and they will retain moisture for a longer time period.

Things to consider & interesting facts

• This may surprise you to find out, but there is the exact same amount of water on the Earth as there was almost a million years ago – but how much is used has risen dramatically in the past 100 years.

• The rise of water use by 2025 stands to put countries in severe straits. The use is expected to go up by 50% in developed areas. This means that by 2025, half the world’s population will have difficulty getting enough clean water for cooking, drinking and other uses.

• Wars have been fought over water since the beginning of time with 256 conflicts recorded in human history.

FREE WIFI @ WERNHIL

Broll Namibia announced that Wernhil Park will offer free Wi-Fi as from Friday, 05 August 2016 to its shoppers. This initiative, according to Sylvia Rusch, Marketing & Public Relations Manager of Broll Namibia is part of Wernhil Park’s commitment to keeping the shopping experience within the mall world class at all times. Sylvia: “We are extremely excited about this! In order to remain competitive and up-to-date, you need to keep up with the changing times and that is exactly what we are doing. With so much being linked to internet connectivity nowadays and the need to be connected at all times, including a demand by consumers to research first before making the final purchase, a service offering such as free Wi-Fi is almost becoming mandatory to ensure we cater for the current consumer lifestyle and demand.”
