New Driver for FICEP Machines (“PNI” Format) Following several client requests, GRAITEC's development team has implemented a specific driver for Advance Workshop, making it one of the first software capable of communicating with the new generation of FICEP machines.

Since FICEP's decision to encrypt NC files using a new format (“PNI”), the implementation of such a driver has become a requirement for all users who want to work with the new FICEP machines.

New IFC/IFCXML/XML Import

Following a customer request, it is now possible to import Tekla files in IFC, IFCXML and XML format in Advance Workshop.

New Export-Delete Order

This new feature, implemented following a request from a steel service center, allows users to export and create a backup folder for every order. The folder contains copies of each material certificate used for processing.

It provides quick access to all documents related to a specific order and saves time put into searching for physical documents.

In the case of companies dealing with numerous small orders, this feature also allows to clear up space, as orders can be deleted after they are closed.

New Purchase Order Advance Workshop purchase orders have been improved with several new features, for a faster and more efficient use.

Improvements/new features include: multi-stock; the possibility to enter data directly (as opposed to selecting it from database lists); faster import (copy-paste actions are now allowed); purchase by weight (kilograms, tons): the quantity is automatically calculated and can be manually

modified; the possibility to close a row with different amounts; the possibility to close an order and refuse certain elements (e.g. if a provider is unable to deliver a

part of an order, the order can be closed (refused) and a new order can be created); the possibility to create an order with last bar nesting simulation.

New Multi-Stock Feature Advance Workshop now allows users to manage stock sorted according to the source, for the cases when they receive materials from different suppliers, and want to keep them separated.

It is possible to add as many stock names as possible, in Stock Name Definition (General Parameters). Your order will include only the elements from the selected stock.

Feedback Console This great new tool added to the Advance Workshop family was designed to improve and control the productivity of steel structure companies.

The Feedback Console records, saves and monitors all productive activities in your workshop, by means of a simple tool based on barcode management.

Installed directly on a server, it can act as a remote application for mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets. It can also be used directly on a PC, installed close to work centers.

The main features are: Use on mobile devices / personal computers; Easy to use and intuitive user interface; Use with 2D barcodes or QR codes; Record production time associated to a worker’s name; Record product elements, such as parts, assemblies, Nesting; Discharge stock items such as bolts and screws; Associate welding materials to assemblies for traceability; Print drawings / labels directly by reading the barcode.

Connection between Advance Workshop and 2CFAO Following a request from the French market, a new bidirectional connection between Advance Workshop and 2CFAO French estimation software is now possible.

New Net Weight Calculation Feature for Plates Advance Workshop now displays the net weight of plates in the reports for parts. Users can able or disable this feature from Advance Workshop settings.

New Bar Discharge in Advance Workshop Advance Workshop has now a new window for inside manual bar discharge. This new window is clearer and more efficient for manual use.

Optimized DSTV Import In the new DSTV import, it is easier to recognize flat bars and convert them to plates, or select a plate and convert it to a flat bar.

It is also possible to convert holes with IK contour to holes with BO contour.

The DSTV import also checks if the DSTV files are correct. If a part is yellow, it is possible for Advance Workshop to fix the file; if it is red, fixing the file is not possible (but the user can force the conversion).

New “Customizable reports for work center” feature In Advance Workshop, it is now possible to have different reports for each work center. The user can create a different report layout for each work center, allowing our customers to provide the right information to their workers.

New Weight Filter Advance Workshop now allows users to sort all parts and assemblies by weight. In process definition, it is now possible to select a new weight filter. If a work center has a weight limitation, now it’s possible to check it with minimum and maximum value.

New Report for Assembly Traceability Now it is possible to have the total traceability for an assembly, including the weld material, welder name and where it is produced. With just one button, the Advance Workshop report provides you with all this information.

New Marking by Milling In Advance Workshop 2018, users can create and manage markings by milling on all Advance Workshop profiles.

The new functionality allows users to: Draw single lines Draw profile contours Draw hole axes Change the line type (continuous, dotted, initial/final segment)

View All Four Sides of a Section A feature implemented for the new marking by milling functionality allows the display of all four section views (left, right, top, bottom), thus allowing users to see all the sides of a profile.

Unload Elements from CNC Machines It is now possible unload parts directly from a CNC machine connected with Advance Workshop and able to send the corresponding data. If the parts produced are recognized in Advance Workshop, they can be unloaded directly, otherwise, it is possible to assign the right name from the Advance Workshop interface.
